It looks like the mickeys jammin jungle parade will have no performances in June whatsoever. The final performance of this parade will be May 31st. The parade is ending because of the ongoing expansion construction in Animal Kingdom. No word on if there will be a replacement.

Lane closures on buena vista drive are starting this week in the morning. This is to work on the roads to accommodate the new Disney springs project. Expect some traffic in this area.

The Haagen Dazs and wetzels pretzels kiosks have all received signage and look to open very soon.

Star Wars weekends
Certain things are available for FP+ reservations. These are tier 1 choices. For the first weekend, available show are: Behind the Force - Star Wars: Rebels, Obi-Wan and Beyond starring James Arnold Taylor, and Stars of the Saga Star Wars Celebrity Talk Show.

It's interesting knowing that where dumbo used to be is no the new castle spire entrance to new fantasyland. It also shows the pre construction work they did on where the seven dwarfs mine train now sits.

Animal kingdom construction update.

The FOTLK theater is looking amazing and looks set to open in early June.

The avatar area is still dirt with excavators as they are in the early stages working on clearing the land.

Lastly there is some land being cleared in Africa near the new theater. Some are saying this will be a new walkway to Asia. This runs right into the train tracks for conservation station. From the one photo in the link it looks like it may be a possibility for a walkway as they may be building a bridge over the tracks otherwise I don't know what they are doing.

New show is coming to Animal Kingdom. This show is called
Winged encounters the kingdom takes flight

This new show involves macaws that have been trained. This confirms the long going rumor that Disney has been working on a new show that involves macaws. The show will debut this summer.

"The Winnie the Pooh and Tigger meet and greet at Disney's Animal Kingdom will have its last day of operation on Saturday May 10 2014.

You can find them currently meeting guests at the Discovery Island Character Landing. After May 10, they will continue to be available for meet and greets at Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.

Expect to see some new Next-Gen met and greets opening in all four parks in the near future that take advantage of Magic Bands and some interactive elements."

A new soccer store will be opening at Downtown Disney West Side on May 22.

Just in time for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, 'United World Soccer' will open in the space previously occupied by 'BLINK by Wet Seal,' located next door to Candy Cauldron at Downtown Disney West Side.

He did an interview a while back I think last year in a theme park podcast and he said he was working on something big for Epcot that would come in a few years. I would think this is that same thing. Now the question is what is it? A new nighttime spectacular? A new attraction? Something else? It will be interesting to see if details are leaked within the next year or so where it would lead us to what he is working on.

Could it be the new Soarin' update? Looks like he has directed a bunch of accompanying videos for ride attractions (Aerosmith pre-ride scene in Rockin' Roller Coaster, Sounds Dangerous at DHS, videos for Dinosaur at AK, etc).

He also did the O Canada and numerous other projects. I think that could be it but the description is a next gen spectacular so that leads me more to something along the lines of a show. I guess we will have to wait and see.

FastPass+ will be available for the new meet and greet, but unlike at the Adventureland location, only Tinker Bell will be available for meet and greets.

I am glad something is coming to this area but I wish it was something disney not Marriott. If it gets built I probably still won't ever stay there so it doesn't affect me directly. New development always has positives.
