Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

Maybe they could start a new thread, ‘Disney News, discussion & an element of pessimism’. I was enjoying this thread so much before the arguments.
A bit of fun is nice, but for those who only check a few times a day, it's a lot to come see 14 pages added to the thread, have to comb through it to find actual news, and when you finish reading it all over an hour later find nothing major was actually announced, and the news that everyone was speculating about never happened.

And we keep going only because there are no Disney news on a Friday night lol..

Funny life.. at least this gives us the excuse to share points of views…that’s good

and let’s hope for more news before there are 7 more pages of this LOL..

anyone willing to bet who/what is coming?

We watched it and I don't know...it's pretty much ridiculously adorable. I really, really liked it. Charming, funny, beautiful, fantastic music.

Not everything has to be Up.
And nothing else can be Coco.
This was great.

(I also really liked Raya)

Totally agree! I just finished it and loved it. My son really enjoyed it too. Very cute. Definitely something we'll rewatch.

If people want a thread devoted just to news, can’t you just start one? I believe Mrsap started this one to share news, chat with online friends, spread some hope, and have some fun. She titled it accordingly. This is a thread she started for a purpose, no different than if I posted asking about a particular rumor - thus setting the tone and purpose for that thread.

there is certainly nothing wrong with wanting just the rumors, or just the news -but from the title this was not intended to be that spot. Why not start one? You can’t ask Mrsap to cater a thread to each one of our tastes. That isn’t her job. she set this up - she searches for the rumors and news, she searches for clips to make people start their day with a smile and if people want to join in they do, if they don’t - well, they don’t have to.

This isn’t a one size fits all style. and this board isn’t limited to one type of thread, is it?

I'm pretty frickin' thrilled about Halloween Horror Nights yesterday. Can't wait!!! Not sure what Disney could release at this point that would compete.

Nobody needs to be talking about their new dumps in here. They may shut down the thread.
When’s the next big dump

I am waiting until until tomorrow after breakfast ;)

We watched it, and loved it !! Its very slapstick--- DS10 was cracking up every time someone got smacked (which is very often!)
Also big Tremblay fans, and loved the character !

I feel like I'm missing something here.

What was the video?

Can't post it here, sure The Dis would block it too ;)
The video itself wasn't that special (in my opinion), but it was hosted on a sex site.

I was amused and annoyed at the word 'unsuitable' and there was no option to continue to the link. All it gave was that it was unsuitable and the number of customer service.
If there was a firewall to block dangerous viruses etc., I can understand it, and they can say that.
If it is just an extra protective measure as kids are all around in Disney, I can understand it, but then treat me as an adult and give me an extra page 'this page contains sex, do you want to continue/are you over 18', something like that and let me decide what I find suitable, and give me the option to continue to the site or not.

This felt patronizing to impose their moral on what is suitable.

What is concerning, as I am quite sure this wasnt a problem before, if this change happened due to the Mother Company of Disney having a majority share in Disneyland Paris again. Then it becomes an American culture versus European culture-thing.

I am all for it if TWDC helps with getting the park back into shape, expansion, etc. If they really want to bring American culture into Disneyland Paris, stick to bringing Mickey waffles to the park.
This is me speculating, of course, let's hope it is not the case.

Now it's getting interesting...
;)

I recommend VPN. I am not at all surprised adult content is blocked on most public WIFI.

I was at an airline when GoGo Inflight Internet was first introduced, took them about 1 day to ban VoIP and 2 days to ban adult content. People were watching it without headphones...

Yeah, they won't want it to interfere with the party, but how early is the question? Have the parks ever closed on the half hour? I feel they are going to have to bend some things to make this happen. Probably fireworks at 9:00pm with closing at 9:30pm. I'm curious to see how this works out.

With previous after hours, fireworks were always just before closing on party nights. The parties started at the same time the park closed. It would make flong lines at tge headliners because non-party guests always get in line minutes before closing. They never built in a buffer between closing and party starting at the MK.
Really?

It was nothing like Little Mermaid except they go to land.
That’s exactly what we called it too. It most definitely is the same basic story line- fish wants to experience human life. That said, we enjoyed it a great deal.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment and say something about this thread. Please note that this is NOT the old thread. This is a new thread, that I personally started, with a title that’s fitting to what’s being posted. On this thread I post updated Disney news, dancing GIFS and I spew positivity. I do not have inside sources, nor did I ever claim to. I post updated Disney news from blogs that are deemed credible. This thread may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s the beauty of the Dis boards… there’s something for everyone!

To the people who do come on every day and enjoy the thread, I just want you to know I how much I appreciate your continued support. You guys are wonderful and I enjoy getting to spend each day with you. I love everyone’s positivity and spirit. Thanks for being a part of this with me. :grouphug:💃🏻
