Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

Honestly when reading the word source I was taking it as Magic 8 Ball or Crystal Ball. Understandably some took it as more.

Disney itself and reliable reports from the ground are the only sources with 100% confidence.

I think I can speak for most of us to say our dancing and goofing around is general enthusiasm watching step by step WDW return to its full glory. We wish and make our offerings to the Park Gods. They must be listening because lately it’s been big news almost daily.

It’s a Disney message board on the internet. Don’t take it so seriously. If you want faster Disney news without all the rift raft, go to any Disney blog or the actual Disney parks blog and look at them instead of here. I rather come here and shoot the ish with people and have a little fun. I don’t take any speculation serious. But it’s fun to talk about it IMO.

But a lot of people took the rumor seriously which is the problem.

Yes part of this board and thread has always been rumors. But there's a difference in the type of rumor that should be taken seriously and with a grain of salt.

Posters here used to know who had reliable info, but both the people that knew who was legit and the people with the info are gone. So now anyone that comes on here spouting their rumor is taken at face value yet Kenny the pirate is said to be clickbaity and not a reliable source. Now I'm bot disagreeing with the opinions on KtP but he's more reliable that someone who's earning their ears posting a thread with their rumors as facts or someone that's not been around long enough to prove they know people.

For goodness sake I'm an honorary bus driver and I have the sticker to prove it, but you don't see me coming around and saying "HUGE news tomoreow! OMG you just won't believe it! Think happy thoughts for short lines and running shoes!" Because we all know bus drivers aren't reliable.

It got out of control because people want things back to normal and we all expect at some point between now and Oct 1 that these things will get announced. But that doesn't mean 30 pages need to be filled with talk about it when no one knows id this person (they aren't) is a reliable source. It's a great ok, lets see what happens and then move on
Because if all that hadn't happened last night/this morning, then none of this afternoon happens.

In other news the decor is falling off the castle. Anyone wanna mail Chapek some gorilla glue?
Yikes. Is it the blue gem that would be in the middle of the medallion, laying on the ground? And why do the colors look like they are already fading? Reminds me of the Dumbo paint job.

Rumor has it that we’re all SUPER cool for posting on a Disney message board, and that this is serious business. Everything posted on the interwebs is indeed , 100% factual and appropriately sourced.

so when is the big news now then since today never worked out lol
Let’s plan on Monday. That gives us something to look forward to!

‘Luca’ Review: Something’s Fishy in the Usual Pixar Formula

Luca is out on Disney+ today with no additional charges. I'll probably end up watching because it's Disney, but it doesn't grab me like other Pixar films. Thought this was a good review (I didn't notice any particular spoilers). I thought the beginning of the article was funny, considering my affinity for the Little Mermaid:

"Luca wants to be where the people are. He wants to see, wants to see ’em dancing. Walking around on those, what do you call ’em? Oh, feet. Or, in this case, piedi, since Luca lives in the waters surrounding a picturesque Italian village straight out of a Fellini movie. Combine some of the Italian master’s whimsy with even more of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, along with plenty of Pixar’s now-standard bittersweet lessons about growing up and you get Luca, an affectionate portrait of friendship that never quite rises to the level of the beloved animation studio’s best efforts."

I totally forgot this came out today!! While I enjoy getting content on Disney+ I'll be happy once they start sending Pixar back to the movies again!!

We watched it and I don't know...it's pretty much ridiculously adorable. I really, really liked it. Charming, funny, beautiful, fantastic music.

Not everything has to be Up.
And nothing else can be Coco.
This was great.

(I also really liked Raya)

I agree completely. I was actually a little bored, but my 6-yr-old enjoyed it.

Precisely! I can see why they didn’t put it in theaters. It’s definitely not as beautiful as Loop, but it is still cute and a nice summer movie for kids. Adorable is a good word.

We called it the boy version of The Little Mermaid..

Maybe they could start a new thread, ‘Disney News, discussion & an element of pessimism’. I was enjoying this thread so much before the arguments.
