We are here now and mask compliance is already pretty poor. Enforcement is non existent. I imagine come the 15th (or sooner) it will be mask free. Even for those that cannot possibly be vaccinated.
honestly the thing that irks me is not the masks. It's that rules are not being followed or enforced. Too much of a rule follower I guess!
I really feel like I may have had a hand in this. I JUST finished sewing the last mask for our trip about 15 minutes ago and posted this pic on FB. So, you're all welcome!(just kidding!)

Noods and Nude faces in the same day.No masks, and noods for all (who have ADRs)! A great way to end a week!
Very true. And our girls are not old enough to be vaccinated, so we'll all be wearing them in certain areas where they will still need them... you know, in solidarity and all.Well you still need them on Disney transportation and in airports, so not a complete loss?
That's the jokeNoods and Nude faces in the same day.

I know personally I'll be keeping a mask in my pocket for the rest of my life at this point just for comfort
Mine has become a weird bracelet fashion accessory as I try to navigate which stores require them and which don't.
The big difference in California is they can actually enforce the "for vaccinated people" section if they want to. I'm curious to see if they do.Less labor on my part but I bought us like three packs of Disney masks each when Shop Disney had a sale. Now I'm like uhhhhh... we really don't need all these lol!
On a side note, related to Disneyland, June 15th is the big date that all restrictions drop in California which allows them to operate normally again. So there's an interesting thing to keep an eye on, Disneyland might not be far behind once they get their decision making abilities back!
Same! We head down that day!!Awesome, this is great news. Just in time for our trip!!!
Never too early - extended hours seems like it should be a given - at least opening Epcot at normal time would be nice.Is it too early to hope for FP+ and extended hours being announced next week?
They just extended Animal Kingdom hours by an hour at least, but it still closes earlyIs it too early to hope for FP+ and extended hours being announced next week?
True. I just hope somebody announces if restaurants get more reservations if hours are extended. All my ADRs are set up based on when parks were going to open and close at the end of April. Don't want to miss rope drop or last ride with new hours!I think the hour extensions today are a good sign, I expect we'll see more. For instance the last week of June MK is still opening at 9AM but every day the week prior is 8AM, so I imagine those small adjustments are coming soon. They could easily start fireworks at 9PM so not seeing that extended doesn't necessarily mean its a bad thing for our firework hopes.
