I'm still having such a hard time envisioning how in the world those monstrosities will be covered by water and look pretty LOL. These aren't the best pics, but all I could think about when walking around WS was how pretty sunset used to be. (These were taken last Friday.)

I agree. I tried to reserve judgement, but when I saw them in person this week--nope, they're ugly!

I also don't understand how everyone will be able to see the screens. They are flat, so won't guests looking from the shorter side miss the graphics? The music previews sounded neat, but I don't understand this whole water component.

This worries me as well. Unless Stargate somehow spins (and maybe it does), they have basically taken a show - Illuminations - that could be viewed from pretty much anywhere in the World Showcase and cut the viewing angle in half. Maybe I'll be proved wrong. I truly hope that I am. The fact that they are offering the R&C and SRT dining packages actually gives me some hope that there is something we just don't know about yet. Because the angle from both of those places, especially R&C, seem as if you'd have a sub-par view of the projections. Yet they are charging top dollar for them.

Normally I'd want to avoid spoilers, but in this case I definitely plan on checking out the videos to see just where the best place is to view this show. We aren't planning to purchase a dining package for our Oct trip (too much good food at the festival booths), but are considering it for our Dec trip if it appears the view is worth the price. Right now, I'm just not sure.

Someone posted a beautiful pic of Aurora on here recently. . .but those monstrosities were in the back ground. All I could think was they ruined the shot.

We just received the below email from WDW about our upcoming trip. It looks like they are starting the early entry on 9/26/21!

"We are so excited to welcome you for your upcoming stay!

Soon, Guests who stay in the magic at a Disney Resort hotel can enjoy 30 minutes early entry to any Walt Disney World® Theme Park every day as part of the dazzling Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration.

We’re excited to share that we will be offering a soft opening of this new benefit during your stay. Beginning September 26th, you will have the opportunity to enjoy 30 minutes early entry to any Walt Disney World Theme Park. That’s more time for enchantment at Magic Kingdom® Park. More excitement at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. More adventure at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. More possibilities at EPCOT®. It’s a great way to jump-start your Disney day, no matter the day!

Once you’ve arrived at the main entrance of your desired theme park, be sure to look for the “Early Entry for Participating Hotels” signage to enter the park.

A Park reservation and valid ticket or pass for the same Park on the same date and valid Resort ID are required."
I actually believe they are starting it today - a day early. They posted a sign in Pop Century last night that stated “from now until October 1.” I had to laugh because we are flying out today. Of course, POP could have just posted the sign a couple of days early.

That was me!
mat least an advantage of being an AP is over become immune to seeing them as a distraction though in all seriousness they make me miss the old leave a legacy tombstone aesthetic up front

From Disneyland Paris: Last night was the press event for the Christmas season presentation. As it's still Corona time, it's not that spectacular:

- Some new snacks (Cookies, of course)
- The special dinners for Christmas / NYE have new cocktails (one alcohol, one non-alcohol)
- Some new merchandise, like a new sweater
- Let's Sing Christmas will come back to Videopolis
- If we will get the new (or any) Christmas parade will depend on the rules and regulations from the French government.
The new parade was planned to debut in 2020, but got postponed due to the pandemic.

I just looked at the magic bands available for pre-purchase for my upcoming resort stay and there are so many new ones available; Mulan, Thanos with infinity stones, Mary Poppins and many more! There are also some new resort ones like Port Orleans. Maybe someone smarter than me can figure out how to post pictures.
