I’m sorry to see that non-Disney resorts are included on this list!!! No real incentive to pay extra to stay on-site anymore! Seems like best bet is now to stay off site and Uber to parks
I disagree. Locals have daily opportunities to take advantage of low crowd seasons/times. They have plenty of chances to get on the top tier rides. And they have access to VERY good deals on annual passes. To me it’s just more of a slap to local AP holders. I’m not a local so we are always in a Disney resort when visiting, but they can NEVER get in with the crowds at rope drop to be amongst the first to experience a ride for the day, unless they stay onsite. They’ll always be at a morning disadvantage.
And in exchange they get a significant discount on their AP’s.They’ll always be at a morning disadvantage.

Morning EMH’s with that many eligible hotels is worthless. Give me the Florida rate on AP’s and I’ll happily give up that 30 minutes.
I know they were an hour, but I found morning EMHs pre-Covid to be worthwhile. While it is less time, with potentially 1/4 of the people, I could still see some benefit. And in exchange they get a significant discount on their AP’s.

Not sure about the Disney Springs resorts, but estimates I've seen in the past for onsite/offsite have been around 35-40% on and 60-65% off. There are traditionally a lot more people off site than onsite.Out of curiosity, anyone know what the percentage is of guests who aren’t at one of these resorts/hotels? I guess that would include locals, condo renters, all those staying at hotels not on this list.
About time...don't understand what the holdup was. It's definitely not a show, but I guess it's something. It's really disappointing and kinda astonishing to me just how little they've reopened in the last few months. Yes, I know all the folks that will defend them about staffing, but give me a break...they could and should've done better. The fact that we still have zero dates on any shows/parades returning is really sad.. and just feels like they're happy to take advantage if their customers and save the money. - I know it's not a popular opinion on here, but I just needed to vent, cause it's frustrating.
.Also people need to remember that more than half in the hotels wont go to rope drop let alone earlier. And then you divide the ones that do by 4 parks.HNot sure about the Disney Springs resorts, but estimates I've seen in the past for onsite/offsite have been around 35-40% on and 60-65% off. Yes, and people like me from the West Coast will never rope drop because it essentially means that we would need to wake up at 3am-4am Pacific time to get there before RD - I'm not doing that on vacation..Also people need to remember that more than half in the hotels wont go to rope drop let alone earlier. OMG, they're showing wait times for Epcot at 11:00 again. Those were missing for weeks. Now if they could only stop showing everything at Magic Kingdom as closed at 9:00.
