I do think it's a reference to the former Epcot attraction but I still decree that some touching of grass is in order if you're (general you're, not pointing fingers) upset about it.Or maybe it has nothing at all to do with a pavilion that was torn down ~25 years ago, and they are just using the term to mean "what's coming in the future that you can't quite see yet?" You know, its plain and ordinary meaning.
After all, the marketing person who named the panel may well have been in middle school on its last operating day.
Yeah, I think it's a reference given the 80s colors and the design. But the (possibly young) marketing person probably did not mean to make anyone upset, lolI do think it's a reference to the former Epcot attraction but I still decree that some touching of grass is in order if you're (general you're, not pointing fingers) upset about it.
Heard on social media that the Disney gift shops aren't selling refrigerator magnets any more. Can anyone confirm or deny?
I'd be bummed if it's true because thats one of my go-to souvenirs, since they're inexpensive and easy to display.
Not true. I've seen magnets in the gift shops in several parks within the past week.Heard on social media that the Disney gift shops aren't selling refrigerator magnets any more. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Oh, I really hope they don't get rid of magnets! Every time I stay at a new Disney resort I get a magnet for that resort and I still need YC, AoA, and Fort Wilderness
I'll have you know I touched quite a lot of grass yesterday before that post. Watered my lawn by hand.I do think it's a reference to the former Epcot attraction but I still decree that some touching of grass is in order if you're (general you're, not pointing fingers) upset about it.
That's already an improvement over the average Disney parks fan on Twitter.I'll have you know I touched quite a lot of grass yesterday before that post. Watered my lawn by hand.
I wonder if there is a correlation with the prevalence of stainless steel refrigerators? Magnets don't stick to many of those, so the days of fridge magnets may be over.I poked around, and I could only find some complaints that they didn't sell as many as they used to - like there used to be a whole wall, and now they are scattered about near the keychains. Hopefully they aren't getting rid of them completely.

Hm, my stainless steel fridge takes magnets. I guess I got lucky.I wonder if there is a correlation with the prevalence of stainless steel refrigerators? Magnets don't stick to many of those, so the days of fridge magnets may be over.
I’d be interested to see what they decide to show. Wasn’t a huge fan of the continuous Blue Sky concepts at the last one they did. I know Beyond Big Thunder and AK changes are supposed to occur at some point, Epcot just finished being Walcot too. Maybe they’ll dive more into that? Unsure what’s going on at DLR/DCA as that’s not my side of the country, but I’m hoping we all get some solid amount of new things for both WDW and DLR as a whole. The more concrete things we get (no blue sky, an announcement on when construction is happening, more than just concepts) the happier I’ll be. I know Covid kinda wrecked the last one we had with a lot of Epcot’s ideas being shelved (Goodbye Mary Poppins ride) so anything with more solid progress made than that last D23 will be a plus in my book.Yeah, I don't need you teasing all of us with a long dead, much beloved attraction as the name of your expo where we hope to hear great things about what's coming to the parks.
I just returned yesterday. There were plenty of magnets for sale.Heard on social media that the Disney gift shops aren't selling refrigerator magnets any more. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Probably true. My fridge won't take magnets eihter, but I have a metal door that does.

One can also just get a square piece of metal for magnets, then hang it on a wall like art
