Walt Disney World Auditioning Musicians for Return of Toy Soldier Marching Band to Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

A new posting on the Disney Auditions website indicates Disney will bring back the marching band version of the toy soldiers unit in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at Magic Kingdom this year

In this movie, the Mansion is heavily based on the DL version, being in New Orleans and everything. In the Eddie Murphy one, the mansion was kind of an amalgamation of both the DL and WDW versions.

Well, I doubt he will materialize in the next eight days in time for my next visit...lol...I sure hope he's there by my December trip.

Last year when we were at the Christmas party, I got a popup on my phone that there was a special DVC member thing at Gaston's. I wandered back and they were giving out drinks and snacks and had a character greeting with Gaston for DVC members. Looks like they are doing something similar this year?

It looks like this year they are giving notice of the dates it is going to happen. Last year it seemed a lot more last minute. In fact, when I got the alert that night and I googled it to see what it was, there was only maybe 1 Disney fan site post about it from the day before where someone had mentioned it was happening. So I wonder if they were kind of testing it out last year but are making it a more firm commitment this year? We are lucky enough to be planning on going to one of the nights listed! (assuming we can get tickets)

I'm pretty sure they save some. I've had them sell out of Magic Key presales for other events, but then had no problem buying at ticket when they went on sale for the general public. But, I will say, Oogie Boogie does sell out faster than MNSSHP.

I'm not gonna be there for Christmas time this year, but is this usually just for DVC members that bought direct? Cuz me and hubby are resale DVC members
