Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

For anyone reading, Black Olive and Goat Cheese ice cream may sound gross but trust me. It's awesome and you should try it.
It does sound gross! Most of their flavors do!! Are these for foodie people with exotic taste or do they just sound awful but taste like regular, good ice cream flavors?

Some of their flavors, particularly the daily ones, are pretty normal. My son loves the chocolate brownie flavor. The monthly specials tend to be or at least sound more exotic. They aren’t always weird. The black olive one is a great combination of salty, sweet, and sour. Think of salty nut brittle in a cheesecake ice cream. The honey marshmallow rocky road sounds pretty normal,

“A while”? So they’re really planning on removing them?! I was looking forward to waving to them again on my next visit (hopefully with some of the volume issues fixed)!

Maybe there really will be new statues for the 100th. I was wondering why characters like Moana, Anna and Elsa weren’t represented while their animal sidekicks were . . . maybe they were saving them for “platinum”?

At any rate, glad I got to see my favorites when I did!
I liked the statues, too, but wished they had worked better with MB+. I think I didn't get to find them all but maybe I lost interest because only half seem to activate for me.

Ugh, I wish they would turn away from a prix fixe menu. But I guess they know they make more money this way.

It’s a $ maker and ensures those that are sitting at the table order more than just an app and a drink to either linger around for fireworks or come back later for fireworks.

The tip in the past was to order a drink or something from the lounge and be able to come back for fireworks.

Ah, yes, this is why we can't have nice things 😆
A 3 course meal is difficult for me with Disney portions. What I'm thinking is we can try the new menu next time we happen to be staying at BLT; I'll just eat half of everything and then the leftovers only have a quick trip to the fridge in the room, lol

Aw thats a shame. It was so good that she went back and ordered another scoop. The last time we went to Disneyland was 2019.

She texted back and told me to buy 2 pints and store them at my sisters' place until she comes back to Florida LOL

It sounds like it’s interesting but delicious, I’m hoping it’s gluten free and I can try it next weekend. 🤞

I’m so bummed that they’ve removed the Spicy Kazan Roll completely now. It was so delicious. Before the prim fix menu my family fought over who got the most.

Me too. haven’t been back since. And we would spend more than the cost of the prod fix meal per person, but got exactly what we wanted - more apps, less deserts. this is one change I really dislike.
