Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2023 Edition

I would honestly pay $20 for Rise, the ride itself but also for the ability to worry about something else at rope drop. I feel the same way about FoP. Then again I only have 2 people to pay for at most.
It also depends, if you’re a once in a life time visitor you’re going to splurge, and for $20 not knowing what you’re getting for your only chance may seem worth it.

That's fair. I paid for Rise last May when it was $15 so my Star Wars obsessed friend could experience it (she loved it by the way). I'm not a huge Star Wars fan so I wouldn't do $20.

Last time I went to AK, FOP was like $10 and doing that instead of Genie+ for the day was a great strategy. While everyone zigs to FOP, I zagged to Navi and the safari : )

That was my tried and true AK plan back in the FP+ days and we plan to do that again this time! No running with the FOP bulls for me lol

Definitely true. Thankfully we have gamer fingers and knock on wood but I've never missed a VQ.

Especially since AK rope drop is usually so early that the sun isn't even out yet LOL I have a picture from March 2018 where I rope dropped AK and it was completely dark out.

Eva Longoria’s ‘Flamin’ Hot’ Is First Feature To Hit Both Hulu & Disney+ In Streaming Debut
Following the movie’s world premiere at SXSW, Searchlight Pictures’ Eva Longoria feature directorial debut, Flamin’ Hot, will stream on both Hulu and Disney+ on June 9. It’s the first time that a new movie has been made available on both of the Disney-owned OTT services stateside. The pic will stream on Disney+ overseas.

The pic is based on the true story of Richard Montañez (Jesse Garcia), a Frito-Lay janitor who disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican-American heritage to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.

My problem with paying $20 a person for Rise is that there is a distinct possibility that half the ride might be down. I've now ridden it twice where the first half is not working at all, and you come in the Stormtrooper room through a plain corridor.

Knowing that, if I ever paid for an ILL going forward and half the ride was down, I'd be demanding my money back. It's very much a watered down experience.

Wow, that is VERY lame. I would be so upset! If they can't run the first sequence, they shouldn't run it at all.

But you have the ability to rope drop, or get in line at the end of the night, both times we've done that the wait hasn't been bad at all.

Wow, I didn't even think of that but I definitely agree. When I rode with my friend, I was crossing my fingers that we wouldn't get B mode for her first time. I wouldn't be happy if I paid the $20 and everything was in B mode.

A B-Mode Kylo Ren is one thing - I mean, it's lame but kind of minor. Having the entire Resistance shuttle escape down, that's like half the experience.
