Colorful Bursts of Flavor, Fun Coming to EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Jan. 13 – Feb. 20, 2023

And this just in! The EPCOT Festival culinary team is putting the finishing touches on two new Food Studios. Moderne, located near Test Track presented by Chevrolet, will feature new mouthwatering avant-garde menu items. The other new Food Studio, Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey: Art, Food, and Little Sparks of Magic, promises to deliver treats and beverages bursting with vibrant colors and flavors. We’ll share more details about these delicious new concepts in early 2023!

During the festival, more than 100 Disney and visiting artists will showcase their eye-catching works of art. Guests of all ages can express their creative side by learning to draw a Disney character at Animation Academy, leaving their own creative mark at Expression Section: A Paint by Number Mural and helping Figment learn about art on a scavenger hunt around World Showcase.

Each evening, the DISNEY ON BROADWAYConcert Series will feature talented entertainers performing Disney songs live at America Gardens Theatre. A list of entertainers is coming soon.
Im super excited to see what all is coming. i'm going Jan 21-27 and will be my first time going for Festival of the Arts!!!

I'm not sure when stuff normally goes up, but I went for thanksgiving week in 2019 and was surprised that the christmas tree wasn't up in the hotel lobby when we got there (AKL). But a couple days in, it magically appeared overnight. Which is quite the feat, given the height of that tree!
I remember way back, someone here shared a time lapse video of that tree going up.
It would have been fun to see in person.
You’d have to be a night owl though.

More Details Released For Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket (Very Limited Dates, Location, Price, Mobile Order Details, and More)

First and foremost, this will be a limited-time offering. Very limited. Right now, the plan is to offer the Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket from November 1-4, 2022 at Magic Kingdom.

The Mr. Toad Popcorn Bucket is currently listed as $30 in Disney’s internal systems, after initially being listed as $35. Keep in mind that $30 is the currently listed price and is subject to change ahead of a November 1st launch at Magic Kingdom.

When Mobile Ordering, you’ll want to look for the “Magic Kingdom Souvenir Release” to make a purchase. We’re told that the system for Mobile Ordering will be similar to how Disneyland does Tiki Mug releases at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar. Pickup for the bucket will be at Pete’s Silly Side Show in Storybook Circus near Big Top Souvenirs.

Rumor: Permits Suggest More Widespread Room Refurbishment Than Just “Pirate Rooms” at Caribbean Beach Resort

The Walt Disney World Resort filed a flurry of permits for most of the resort buildings at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. The permits list “general construction” as the description of the work and Balfour Beatty Construction as the contractor performing the work. Balfour Beatty is a longtime Disney favorite, constructing a wide variety of theme park and resort structures over the years.

Earlier this month, Disney announcedthat “rooms in the Trinidad area” of the resort complex would be receiving a brand-new look and feel. While it looks like the initial announcement was for the infamous Pirate Rooms, it’s possible that there could be a resort-wide room refurbishment coming up. Here’s a list of the buildings covered by the permits:

Martinique
  • Building 25
  • Building 26
Barbados
  • Building 31
  • Building 32
  • Building 33
Jamaica
  • Building 41
  • Building 42
  • Building 43
  • Building 44
  • Building 45
  • Building 46
Aruba
  • Building 51
  • Building 52
  • Building 53
  • Building 54
  • Building 55
Disney has not announced a resort-wide refurbishment, but it could be a situation like we’re seeing at other resorts like the Magic Kingdom area resorts where a touch of Intellectual Property is added to rooms alongside a refurbishment of the rooms themselves. One interesting thing about the permits, and something that could throw a wrench in our speculation, is that each of the permits above has an expiration date of September 2023

Following the debut of new Mary Poppins-themed rooms at the expanded Disney Vacation Club presence at Big Pine Key, Disney expanded the room refurbishment project to the Boca Chica building. Boca Chica reopened earlier this month with new-look rooms, and now the refurbishment project has expanded to the Conch Key building.

Other work taking place on the site seems to be in support of the relocation of a popular banyan tree.

As we can see in this aerial photo from bioreconstruct, it looks like crews will be relocating the tree about 200 feet away next to the Aotearoa building.
