Bring on the Christmas topiaries!!

There’s usually one at the entrance. Mickey in a Santa hat, sometimes a snowman. The entrance seems to always have a seasonal topiary, and there’s a few permanent ones scattered around the park. But they could certainly do more. Christmas/holiday topiaries themed to each country would be pretty neat!

Disney World Announces Disney Genie+ Sales Change

Disney has announced an adjustment to Disney Genie+ sales:

Single-day purchases of Disney Genie+ are now only available directly through the My Disney Experience app on the Guest’s date of visit. Third party 1-day tickets with Genie+ will continue to be sold through March 1.

For Guests with multi-day tickets or vacation packages, they may continue to purchase Disney Genie+ prior to their visit. All purchases are subject to availability.

This was reported here on DISboards some days ago, by someone who experienced it. Oh well, at least Disney has made it official now instead of just letting social media spread the word.

DARN!!! I picked my trip dates based on crowd level predictions from TP and Ive been checking for changes based on the heavier than predicted crowds recently and it looks like TP has updated their crowd level predictions from 2’s to 4’s for first week and half of April to 6-10’s Epcot is a 10 from April 10th on....I had been kind of surprised at the previous lower crowd level predictions from 4/3-4/9 but figured people were waiting for Easter week...I kind of figured the levels would go up when I saw that there is basically nothing available for Disney resorts the week I’m there 4/3-4/9...

Disney World Handing Out Masks To Monorail Guests This Morning

It seems that some guests are still confused about the new policy, though — we’ve previously seen guests on the Monorail without masks on since the latest mask change. Cast Members were handing out masks at the station as a reminder that all guests must wear a mask while riding the Monorail, as well as other transportation.

Interesting that you don’t have to wear a mask when they are now filling every seat in the shows I saw a family in the Frozen show at HS get up and leave when they were told they couldn’t have an empty seat between their family and the next guest...

I’m in Jersey and typically our school’s Spring break STARTS the day after Easter. This year, however, our break starts the week before Easter and ends the day after Easter. We are actually booked for that week, too, but not sure if we are going yet.

we are still going will deal with crowds ...I’m good with enjoying the pool if crowds are crazy in parks! B careful not to cancel unless you’re absolutely sure...my friends cancelled their trip yesterday and than decided today they wanted to go after all and couldn’t find anything to rebook...they had booked with AP rate.

For what it is worth, masks on the monorail, buses, skyliner, etc are required due to a federal policy enacted by the TSA that has a current expiration date of March 18th.

Actually I have a friend and her husband who just returned from Disney last week ...they were both vaccinated but not boostered and both sick with COVID now....so I think I’ll be wearing my KN95 mask in shows and on transportation! They drove to Disney from Maryland and drove right thru so no airport contact...

My early renewal date is literally the week after we get back. Unless they start selling AP’s again, I hate to use our non-expiration tix we still have or buy tix, so it’s kind of a watch and see kinda decision!

Yesterday CMs weren’t even wearing masks on boat in Epcot. I can see why people would be confused

I'm not really sure what that has to do with my comment at all, but

I guess just commenting that regardless of whats being mandated or Disney is doing I’m playing it safe.....

Yes we can! But unfortunately, our renewal window doesn’t open until after we get back from our trip.

If anyone booked southwest for spring break I recommended checking if there were any changes to your tickets, my return flight got moved to a day earlier and now I have to scramble (no flights available for original day or the day after).
