Disney World and Disneyland Dining and Activity Reservations to Be Unavailable for a Limited Time

The pop-up says “Some of our Digital experiences will be undergoing maintenance.” It goes on to say “Dine and activity reservations will be unavailable starting Thursday, November 3rd at 12:00AM.”

Disney did not mention how long the maintenance will last. When dining reservations open 60 days out, we’ve noticed they typically open around 5AM-6AM. As of now, it’s unclear if the site will be back up for guests to book dining reservations for January 2nd, 2023 (60 days out from November 3rd).

We also noticed this on the Disneyland app — the maintenance starts at the same time but says November 2nd at 9PM because of the time difference.

Disney World & Cast Member Unions Still At Impasse Over Wages, Healthcare, and More

Disney World and the Service Trades Council Union (STCU) have completed an additional two days of negotiating over a new contract that will cover more than 41,000 Walt Disney World Cast Members. This is the fourth round of negotiations for the STCU and Disney World dating back to late August. Unite Here Local 362, one of the union groups part of the STCU, offered the following update:

Negotiations with Disney Management have ended for this week. Progress was made on the effective date of an increase to the 3rd shift premium and the topic of bargaining over the Consumer Choice medical plan. The remaining open items include wages, healthcare costs, child bonding leave, guarantee of hours, premiums, and Pension plan enrollment. The next bargaining sessions have been scheduled for November 29 and December 1.

Hopefully this doesn’t impact VQs for wine & dine expo

I'm glad it won't be another lazy shot for shot remake but "inspired by Tiktok" doesn't sound any better.............
In this case I would prefer a shot for shot remake. Inspired by Tiktok sounds awful. I have already been very ho-hum about this project and this puts me firmly in the don't care to see it mind frame.

Joe Russo Comments on Live-Action ‘Hercules’

Joe Russo revealed that Disney’s live-action remake of “Hercules” will be “experimental” and inspired by the social media channel TikTok in a new interview with Variety.

When discussing the upcoming film, which he’s producing with his brother Anthony through their independent studio AGBO, Russo explained that rather than playing too close to the 1997 animated version, this will be “a little bit more experimental in tone, a little bit more experimental in execution.” He added that Disney, who have been criticized for having their remakes stay too close to the originals, supports this new concept, saying “I think they’re excited to see what we can all bring to it in a way that isn’t just a reinterpretation of the animated film.”
I have so many thoughts and questions I don’t even know where to start…like…what does that even mean? A movie about a Greek mythology character inspired by Tik Tok…..

I absolutely don't want more shot for shot remakes like Lion King but I just want to know what "inspired by Tiktok" even means? I don't use the platform so I'm unsure what that even entails.

What if Wednesday is the day you have to do clear liquids diet in preparation for a procedure Thursday? Does that make it a Monday?? (I've been awake for an hour and I already hate this!!!!!)

Have fun in Disney!!

I usually lose some weight when you have to do this. Hope you lose some too, if you want, and that procedure goes well.

Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke Added to Cast of Agatha Harkness Spinoff Series ‘Coven of Chaos’

Two new stars have been added to the cast of the “WandaVision” spinoff “Coven of Chaos” about antagonist Agatha Harkness, according to Variety. Aubrey Plaza (“Parks and Recreation”) and Joe Locke (“Heartstopper”) have joined the upcoming Disney+ series in undisclosed roles.

Sounds like my Agatha Harkness costume won't go to waste.

Maybe updating to add a virtual queue for Fantasmic??

I guess nobody cares about the castmembers .

And we all should be encouraging and supporting Disney Unions and Cast.

So I’ll just add that in 2020 there was a crowdsourced Ratatouille Musical that happened on TikTok. Wound up leading to a benefit concert in January 2021 that raised $2 Million for The Actors Fund.

Not sure if it’s something like that that the Russo Brothers are pulling their inspiration from, but it’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw that story.
