It’s in place for Walt Disney World as well:

NEW: Genie+ prices will now *vary by date* at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. WDW: G+ price now varies by date (was $15+ tax). Example: In Oct., G+ will range $15-$22.

This is what I expected to happen with Disney no longer allowing Genie+ to be added onto day tickets but this being announced alongside everything else....it really is Feed the Mouse More Day LOL

BREAKING: Individual Lightning Lane Access Prices Will Increase Based on Date

After the announcement that Disney Genie+ pricing is moving to a varied, date-based system, we now know that Individual Lightning Lane access will also follow the new pricing structure.

Minimum prices remain the same, but select attractions will see increases in price on Lightning Lane access. For example, Rise of the Resistance may now cost between $15-$22 per person for Lightning Lane.

Disney has specified that these prices are for October, and are “subject to change beyond that.”

I thought ILL already did that.

Also, thinking about it, with the G+ price increase, I am not so sure moving things off of ILL is so great. On my recent trip, we didn't use G+ at all, but did buy one ILL each day. Now, that would actually cost us MORE - of course we'd get more rides as part of G+ but if that's not really needed for most other rides.... I can see it being a give and take I suppose. I am sort of morally opposed to ILL in general, but, well, I did it for Rise and Guardians and have lost the right to complain.

Wow...so many fun announcements for the parks today. Gotta love how they drop a bunch of price increases all at once. I was really enjoying my Magic Key Genie+ discount too, but with the increase, it will at a minimum cost as much as it did before. 🤣

I know I posted this already, but has additional detail…
