Jack Skellington and Sally Testing Meet & Greets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party



With the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party just days away, Jack Skellington and Sally are meeting guests in preparation for the event. Random, pop-up testing is often done for rarely-used characters or new costume character Cast Members.

We happened to catch Jack and Sally in a romantic embrace on a recent visit to EPCOT. They were conducting closed-door testing, meaning the couple wasn’t out and about, but rather a manager was selecting guests randomly to see them.

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire Performances Shifting by 3 Hours Starting August 12th

In order to accommodate early closures for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, performances of Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will be shifted 3 hours earlier than they are currently performed. This will be a daily change – not just for Halloween Party event evenings. There will also be some adjustments in the week leading up to the change. Here’s the latest:

• August 1-6, 9, 10: 12:50pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:35pm, 7:00pm
• August 7-8, 11: 11:10am, 12:50pm, 2:00pm, 3:55pm, 5:50pm
• August 12 – September 3: 10:10am, 11:25am, 12:50pm, 2:05pm, 4:00pm

MagicBand+ Charging Cable Available as Standalone Product

While visiting Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed that Disney has made the MagicBand+ cog cable available as a standalone purchase. Every MagicBand+ comes with a charging cable, but if you leave it at home, you might find yourself needing it during a long day at the parks. Certain activities such as the Batuu Bounty Hunters game will drain your MagicBand+ battery quite quickly, and a midday charge will likely be necessary.

The MagicBand+ charging cable is available for $7.99 and contains the same charging cable (at the same length) as what is available in a standard MagicBand+ purchase.

I'm sure that's a relief to the guests who accidentally discarded theirs in their glee to start using them on the 27th.

Peter Pan Meet and Greet Returns to Classic Fantasyland Location at Magic Kingdom

Guests hoping to meet Peter Pan can either find him roaming Fantasyland in the late morning hours, or find a proper, organized meet and greet in the afternoon at the Peter Pan’s Flight mural.

We randomly stumbled upon him in 2019 and our daughter was 5 and it felt like she was still half a toddler, but becoming a big kid, and Peter wrote in her book "never grow up" and I LOST IT. So he hugged me and took my hand and walked aside and said "don't be sad, you can always read her stories no matter how old she gets". I mean, COME ON!!!

I didn't even know a new Haunted Mansion movie was being made but Leto being casted in it immediately made me disinterested. Surprised he was casted considering his awful performance in Morbius.

I can overlook it because the rest of the cast should be fun. Owen Wilson, Rosario Dawson, Danny DeVito, Tiffany Haddish, and LaKeith Stanfield, plus Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota.

I heard that Lindsey Lohan plays Constance Hatchworth, and she and Leota switch bodies. I may have the wrong movie here.

Adding a 3rd episode to the premier doesn't make up for bumping it a month ... but rumors are pointing towards the 1st three eps playing better if watched together which lead to the decision

Yeah, I'm not a fan either. It was bad enough he was attached to TRON, should they ever make it. I mean, maybe it'll still be good, but this is not encouraging.

Is this fairly new, I never knew there was a M&G with Peter Pan at WDW.

My DDs (adult and tween at the time) did an M&G with Peter Pan in 2018 and they had such a blast! One of my favorite photos ever at WDW came from that greet.
