They still don't have all restaurants open yet and they are def not operating at full capacity yet. Personally if they come back there will be more changes to them I bet.

We just got back from WDW and I did want to mention I noticed the difference on cutting back on food costs. Specifically with AYCE options. They didn’t “suggest” or “drop off” refills anymore. You had to specifically ask, and then you got small portions. At HoopDeeDo they refilled our cornbread (table of 4) only once, when I specifically asked for more. We also had to ask for more sangria, and other drinks, they didn’t attempt to keep our drinks full.

At Topolino’s the portion sizes for “sides” at breakfast are smaller. I have always gotten a side of the sour cream waffles (2), and this time they gave me 1. Also the fruit plate for the table is no longer an option. The side of fruit only.

We ate at multiple locations that usually suggest refills, and they never did this trip.

Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. Now Closed, Space Mountain Exit Moved in Preparation for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom



The Space Mountain exit gift shop, Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., has closed for refurbishment to accommodate changes for the upcoming TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster.

Guests exiting Space Mountain now leave out of a door to the left of the attraction’s entrance.

At this time, there is no scheduled reopening date for Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.

Gideon’s Cookie And Cake for August

Celebrate August with Gideons Cookie & Cake of the Month. Flavors of Florida continues until August 14th here at Disney Springs, which means we have double the special flavors at Gideon’s for half of this month. As always here is a rundown of August flavors starting the first of the month.



August is filled with fruity goods! The Chocolate Dipped Key Lime Pie Cookie Returns, and since Flavors of Florida goes through August 14th, we also still have the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip for half of the month! If you’re new to the Key Lime Pie Cookie, imagine a Vanilla Bean Cookie Dough infused with Florida Key Lime Juice and covered with Chocolate Chips and our special Key Lime Pie Crumbs!⁣





We will highlight our already very popular and amazingly delicious Key Lime Pie Cake each weekend of August! It has also been a year since we first met our great friend Signore Pipistrello and his Dark Coffee Cake Slices will be at both stores every Sunday! Reminder: Coffee Cake doesn’t contain coffee. It pairs well with coffee, hence the name. Some regions call it Crumb Cake, but I’m from NY, where it is Coffee Cake. ⁣

Travel back to the roaring 20's at The Edison's Gatsby Evening this Labor Day Weekend at Disney Springs

On September 4, The Edison at Disney Springs will host a roaring Gatsby-style affair, where guests will enjoy swanky spirits, flying aerial performers, stilt walkers, a live band, a smoked cocktail demonstration and more, all while dressed up in their best flapper attire.

General admission tickets are available for $150 per person and include access to all food and drinks. For guaranteed seating, guests can purchase a VIP table for 2-4 people. Tables also come with a dedicated server. They are $500 for a 2-person table or $1000 for a 4-person table. VIP tables are extremely limited. Purchase your tickets HERE. Doors open at 8 p.m. and guests must be 21 or older to attend.

The Sunshine Flyer Extends Kids Ride Free Promo Through Labor Day

MagicBand+ Charging Cable Available as Standalone Product



While visiting Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed that Disney has made the MagicBand+ cog cable available as a standalone purchase. Every MagicBand+ comes with a charging cable, but if you leave it at home, you might find yourself needing it during a long day at the parks. Certain activities such as the Batuu Bounty Hunters game will drain your MagicBand+ battery quite quickly, and a midday charge will likely be necessary.

The MagicBand+ charging cable is available for $7.99 and contains the same charging cable (at the same length) as what is available in a standard MagicBand+ purchase.

New Internet Packages Available Now on the Disney Fantasy

The pricing structure is a little higher for the seven-night voyage on the Fantasy with the Stay Connected package starting from $12 per day, the Basic Surf package starting from $24 per day, and the Premium Surf package starting from $36 per day. The packages on the Wish were priced beginning at $10, $20, and $30 respectively.

When you’re choosing the internet package you’d like, you have the option of paying for 24 hours at a time or selecting internet for the entire voyage. We should also note that these prices are for one device. As you add additional devices, the cost goes up as you can see in the charts below. It’s also important to note that the pricing appears to be different depending on your individual cruise as well as which Disney ship you are sailing on.
