yup, being discussed in the technical support forum. But looks like all the missing emails are being "found"anyone else getting hundreds of email notifications for watched DIS threads? I didn't get any for a couple of weeks, and now they ALL seem to be breaking out of then log jam

hmmm....nothing for me yet. I wasn't getting them for years no matter what I tried and then for a brief moment in time when they switched servers I was finally getting them. Then, they disappeared when everyone else's did and they are not back...guess it's just not meant to be for me...Yep - me too. Seems to have caught up now finally.
Same woke up to 200+ emails in my inbox and my first thought was ohhh disboards has released its backlog of alertsanyone else getting hundreds of email notifications for watched DIS threads? I didn't get any for a couple of weeks, and now they ALL seem to be breaking out of then log jam
If Disney didn't release products before they worked out all the technical problems, we'd still be using paper tickets and paper fastpasses.Good old Disney IT, let's release something when it doesn't really work completely...
I know right...I have a perfectly gently used MagicBand to use for our August trip buuuuuuttt....this is killing me not getting one..The FOMO is real. I have no plans of ordering the MagicBand+ but why am I being pulled to "just take a look"...
Here is my question. The old bands used RFID technology for the ride pics. Do the new bands use the same technology or something new? And if they use RFID does the battery last more than 2 years? Basically am I spending $35 for a one time use since my family only goes every 2 years.
I guess I should say will the RDIF chip last more than 2 years? The new bands are rechargeable - it's one of their best features.
Lets be honest, you'll get some sweet new band every 2 years anyway.I guess I should say will the RDIF chip last more than 2 years?

You mean the orange juice......Might of sipped the kool aid and got orange bird
An RFID chip should last a very long time. My badge for work, which is a short range RFID, still works after like 15 years or so. There is no reason it shouldn't other than damage to the unit. The long range chip just needs power, and with a rechargeable battery that shouldn't be an issue. I suppose eventually the battery will stop holding a charge, but I wouldn't expect that to happen soon. There may even be a way to replace them (not an official way but people are very crafty).
It looks like the Orange Bird band and the Pink Mickey Ice Cream band are gone already. There are still 17 MB+ styles available there, but that's less than what was available on the MDE app this morning for resort stays and APs.
