Disney’s Aladdin-A Musical Spectacular being canceled on more Disney Wish sailings

The show has been removed from the schedule at least through August 19th.

I would be gutted if this were me! I was so sad to missed Twice Charmed on my Magic cruise back in Jan (they brought it back for like on sailing November 2021 and then just stopped??). The musicals are seriously the highlight of my cruises!!

We’re on the 15th sailing and we’re very disappointed to get this email. I didn’t realize we may be the last sailing to not have it.

Yeah based upon the DCL thread the 19-22 sailing still has it as a possibility, for now.

Balconies in the Main Building of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort to Be Refurbished Starting July 18​

Beginning July 18, the balconies located on the third floor of the main building of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be closed for refurbishment. Refurbishment work will take place during daytime hours (typically from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily) and is expected to be completed by mid-August. No major visual alteration are expected at this time.

New BoardWalk Deli Sandwich Shop Opening This Summer at Walt Disney World​

Amid the changes to Disney’s BoardWalk, the new BoardWalk Deli will open this summer at Walt Disney World.

Disney released images previewing some of the menu items. It will be a Northeastern-style deli with a brand-new menu that will include fresh deli sandwiches, fresh baked breads, and a selection of bakery items.

Guests will have more time to enjoy the Walt Disney World theme parks this August as hours have been extended

Magic Kingdom​

On August 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26, the Magic Kingdom will open at 8:00 a.m., with early entry for resort guests at 7:30 a.m., and close at 6:00 p.m. for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

The park will open at 9:00 a.m. but close at 7:00 p.m. on August 18.
For August 13, 14, 15, 17, 20, 21, 22, 25, and 27, the park will still open at 9:00 a.m. but will now close at 11:00 p.m. The select dates with extended evening hours for resort guests will now be from 11:00 p.m. through 1:00 a.m.

EPCOT​

EPCOT will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily from July 31 through August 27. Early entry will begin daily at 8:00 a.m. for hotel guests.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios​

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also now open at 8:30 a.m. from July 31 through August 27, with early entry at 8:00 a.m. It will close at 9:00 p.m.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom​

Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will still open at 8:00 a.m. but will now close an hour later, at 8:00 p.m.

Bay Lake Tower Skyway Bridge Closing For 3-Day Refurbishment​

From Monday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 20, 2022, the sky bridge connecting the two Contemporary buildings will be periodically closed for refurbishment. Current plans call for the bridge to close early Monday until early Tuesday morning. The bridge will be available to guests from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm on Tuesday, July 19. It will then remain closed all day Wednesday, reopening on Thursday, July 21

Bear in mind that refurbishment schedules are estimates and are subject to change.

Hmmm interesting no change to MK hrs the first part of Aug. I would think the first 2 weeks would be busier than the end.

I though the extended hrs. had been happening pretty regularly throughout the summer though. To me it looked like hrs. were extended before and after, just with a gap for those 2 weeks. Interesting.
