I agree, as unfortunate as that is to say. The fact that so many people are using it is the reason why it works so poorly in HS.G+ needs to be capped. Especially at DHS. If this is the case, it gives me a bit of relief for our upcoming trip.
I’ve seen others state that it’s probably tied to a price increase too which makes sense. Curious to see how it all shakes out, since this should all be coming to a head after my June visitThe did add on the Genie+ site the following
Purchase on the date of visit, one day at a time, via the complimentary Disney Genie service in the My Disney Experience mobile app, subject to availability."
It does look like it will be capped. Which IMO is much needed.
The atmosphere was cool, but the restaurant has a weird smell.... maybe that's what space is supposed to smell likeHow is Space 220? We have resis for the lounge while we are there.

I think they’re gonna need to adjust the timing on all that. The breakdown above is hastily approaching “not worth the hassle” territory for meI also wonder if they might be considering dynamic pricing like individual Lightning Lanes now. So they can make Genie+ more expensive on days like Spring Break and Christmas.
I've only been able to buy them day of because I'm an AP. But still something about this whole process just doesn't sit right. Disney is already exhausting. But now you have to stay up until midnight to get your Genie so that it doesn't sell out. Then get to sleep and get back up by 7am to get your first Genie ride of the day so that you get at least one really good ride. At least right now we just get up at 6:40, get Genie, then get our 7am. I definitely see the value in capping the number of people who get Genie. But if you are going to do that, don't open the Genie purchase at midnight and then the first ride selection at 7am. It's just kind of nonsensical.
Raise prices and say we're getting more for our money because they're going to Cap it at some imaginary # never to be revealed. This is strange. Unless they’re looking to cap purchases, I don’t see the point of this
Seems to be the likely end result of this. I think a cap is smart, but don’t know how much more is reasonably want to spend on itRaise prices and say we're getting more for our money because they're going to Cap it at some imaginary # never to be revealed.

Very true. With how confusing Genie+ already is and Disney's insistence on making it even more confusing I somewhat wish they would just transfer over DLP's $90 Premier Pass and be done with it.Yup. It's as I always say, "If everybody has fast pass then nobody has fast pass!"
Will that cap be like they are capping attendance currently? That is to say, not really for any practical purpose.
A price hike will get some people to forego purchasing it which in turn could give it a "cap." A poster in another thread mentioned dynamic pricing and if that'll be what's coming too. $50 G+ the week of Christmas. They can do this much easier with their park reservation system.
So far that has been the case. I wonder for how long though? As revenge travel starts to peter out and the economy takes a turn for the worse, is there a limit? I'm certain Disney will find it if there is one.Honestly though, many guests have demonstrated that they will pay whatever price - I am not sure it would actually limit the majority of guests from getting it unless it were exhorbitant. Most people now see 15 bucks as a drop int he bucket to an overall WDW vacation - 20 or 25 isn't going to stop them!
That's what I don't get. Why not allow onsite first access. So now guests will need to get up even earlier to plan while they are on vacation? Need to get Genie+ before they are all gone.
I do think Disney has an opportunity to give resort guests first access to passes, but not sure if they are going to do this.
When we went in April, there was not a single day we purchased Genie+ that I was able to do so from my phone. Had to use my partners every day. Not that big of deal, but definitely anxiety inducing in the morningYeah ... I don't get this decision. Especially since I've read of various issues of people trying to add G+ after midnight or day of. Disney IT is bad enough already, but it may get even worse when the system crashes as everyone is trying to add G+ at the same time every day along making the G+ reservations.
I already added G+ to my November trip as well ... I don't think I needed for every day of the trip, but figured I'd pre-book it before a price increase which I still think is likely before Nov
