K this is at the tender age of 39 (cough) and 3/4 years my first and I hope not my last trip to Disney and Florida. I have read the postings and viewed all things Disney and have put together a tentative list of our trip. The others in the trip are my long suffering wife (if he mentions America again I will !"*&%!) and my two darling sons aged 6 and 9.
If you would kindly examine this list and any comments gladly accepted.

11th October Monday Fly in to Orlando staying at staybridge suites on I Drive for the duration of stay

12th rest day
13th Magic Kingdom and wishes fireworks
14th Animal Kingdom PS for Donalds Breakfasaurous
15th MGM and Fantasmic
16th Epcot PS Garden Grill for evening meal and fireworks
17th rest and maybe BB or TL then evening MNSSHP
18th lazy day and ? Disney Quest
19th Universal
20th Shopping (wife does cart wheel and gets the plastic ready)
21st Sea world and fireworks
22nd got to swim in the gulf coast
then up to and including 26th we have tickets that can be used to go back into any of the Disney parks it is a ten day ticket and can not carry over to our next trip to Disney.
Oh yes we will be back! thanks in anticipation:wave2:

If you've never been to FLA before, I would suggest two days at Universal. i think you have the time and should enjoy it.

Also, you may want to take a dip in the Atlantic, not Gulf. WDW is a little closer to The East (Atlantic) and there are more direct routes to the ocean. If you're looking for (relatively) big surf, you want to go there. Because of the Gulf Stream, the water is very confortable to swim in.

With kids the ages of your kids plan to take a second day at MK. If you don't feel rushed to see everything in one day you will enjoy it so much more. I agree with the Atlantic side. Daytona Beach is our favorite. A really nice beach you can drive on. Not impressed with Melbourne beach. Make the most of your trip. We still believe that as much as we LOVE WDW the very first trip is the most magical and the best. Everything is so wonderful and new. Your kids are great ages to take.

Plan on getting to Disney Quest at 11:30 am on your lazy day and then plan on staying for quite a long time. It's much less crowded earlier in the day than later in the afternoon. Your boys are close in age to my DS (first time he went to DQ he was 9 yo.) and he would live there while we are in WDW if I would let him.

thank you all for the valuble information, re the swim I will have to do both east and west as what ever country I get to I always have to swim in the seas as for comfort try the english channel on a march day. Just turn blue thinking about that one. I look forward to exploring just a tiny part of this vast state of Florida. Keep the comments coming
