Um, don't we want to be nice in case that already is someone's first name on here? (And no, it's not mine.)

No. I'm far more interested in being honest with the OP than protecting the sensibilities of unknown posters on a Disney message board who may or may not be named Rae or know someone named Rae. I know a couple of girls with Rae as the middle name and its cute. As a first name, not so much, it doesn't flow very well.

The OP said "let's pretend it's Rae," which I took to mean that "Rae" isn't the actual name they're using, but the actual name is a short, one-syllable name.

Lillian is one of my favorite "girl names" period, so I'd add my vote to that.
Isabella is nice (from Phineas & Ferb).
Ellie in "Up" was originally called Eleanor, which is also a name I like a lot.
(I tend to like "old-fashioned" names for girls.)

I like Elizabeth because it can be:
Ella
Ellie
Beth
Betsy
Liz or Lizzie

So the Disney is sneaky with Elizabeth-
Ella: Cinderella (or Cruella)
Ellie: from Up

That's right, the name isn't Rae, but it's a one-syllable name that starts with R. But I don't want to make it her middle even if it flows better because everyone with a middle name for an everyday name says it's a lot of trouble. So "let's pretend" it's Rae. Which is still cute. No haters.

Anyway, I love all the ideas. DH said Rae Disney makes him smile. So I might could get away with that one.

Hideous. Think that this poor child will need to carry the name for a lifetime. I'm very glad my dad didn't name me after any of his hobbies, I'd be Zeitgeist General Patton Duck. No thanks.

Well your first name being Zeitgeist is the problem, not the rest. Which actually wouldn't be a bad middle name, but anyway...

Who cares about middle names anyway? How many of your friend's middle names can you recall? This baby just needs to feel lucky she's not going to be name Rea Jager.

MargaritastandinMexico is dead to me. I used to love getting one of those on a hot day, but the last one I had was so awful I threw it away! I threw away BOOZE!
Besides, the new tequila bar in Mexico has the best margaritas! I guess Cavadeltequila could be a good middle name.

I like R_____ Mara the best.

Maya, Daisy, Ariel, Polly, Olivia, Tilly, Joy, Victoria, and Jasmine also sound nice.
