Disney Nails!

No one commented upon how cute skiingfasts nails look. Your nails are cute Matt.

I am jealous because everyone here, has nice nails. Mine could not possibly get any shorter, I think. They will start to grow, then hold some kind of revolt, by which they break.
Anyway, I really like all of the nail art work shown here. I cannot do nail art on toes either. Because mine just look plain scary. My toes are so ugly, they make some babies cry. And some dogs howl. They just make me cringe. Nope, I guess no art work for my sad nails.

Oops, sorry. Nice pic, Ski. :)

During the school year, I do not have time to do this. I don't have time to paint them and they end up all different lengths. However, I noticed that when I do paint them they tend to break less- although it still happens. So maybe just putting polish on what you have now will help. They also have clear strengthener you can put on. If you just want to have a little fun with them, they don't have to be long. :) Oh, I also like to use quick dry polish. Less chance of denting them that way.

Sometimes I do little stickers on my feet, but not Disney ones because I always wear tennis shoes at DLR anyway.

Also odd, I looked up the Kiss Inc website and looked up their products and the Disney ones listed on Ebay weren't there. So, makes me worry about where they came from.

Perhaps they have been discontinued? The eBay seller could have been holding on to them for years. (Again, another reason to be wary of them.)

If anyone is looking for something like this just let me know and I'll find out where they are from and what they cost. They are fake nails you glue on.

I would love to know where to get those :lovestruc, I usually have mine done "Minnie" style, but would like a change.

Thanks!

All these nails are so cute!
I am very untalented in the nail department, so I may have to ask one of the ladies at the nail place if she could add some Disney touches to my nails before my next trip! :)

I thought of that but they also weren't on the website under their discontinued items. The packaging also looks different from their others but maybe that is because it was made for Disney or for market in another country. I'm just not sure and wasn't wanting to support something not "legit".

Maybe they could do something along the lines of the Minnie nails in the video. That seemed easy enough without requiring stickers.

Oh my goodness! Those Minnie nails are too cute! I never seen a dotting tool before. :confused3!

My mom used to use one back in the day when tole painting was big. I think I noticed that one person just took a straight pin and stuck the pointy end into a pencil eraser to make her own "tool".

That's a good idea. I've been trying to think what else could make a flat circle shape. Nails would probably need something a little smaller than a pencil eraser. Maybe I should keep my eyes open at the craft stores.

I love this but I can never keep fake nails on - I want that in a sticker

What I read it as, was that you stuck the straight pen in the eraser to hold it steady and then used the head of the pin to dot with.

I have also used the back end of a small craft paint brush since they are typically round.

What about a wooden skewer sticK? I think toothpicks might be too small for some applications, but I would suppose they could work for tiny stuff.

Oh, I see! :rotfl: Yes, those are good ideas. :thumbsup2

Love these! I always get creative with my nails for big occasions. I did my toes for our trip but I didn't take any pictures :( I just painted them red with a black Mickey head. To to the black head I just dipped a bobby pin in black nail polish-it was super easy.

Love all the great ideas! I've had the Flower Power Mickey on my nail for a few days now and I think I really like it. Everytime I look at it, it remindes me of the fireworks. :goodvibes I think I will try adding "pixie dust sparkles" over it.

I heard back from my friend. She actually did the french manicure style painting to make mickey stand out more. So it's on painted nails. She wasn't sure how much they were only that it was from Ebay not much money and free shipping. Also they are not stickers it is a water slide decal. (being that you just get the mickey wet and then press it on the nail it sound simple to do during a trip)

So I searched and found the same design that fit her description.

http://cgi.ebay.com/20-DISNEY-MICKE...477?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4a95c0dc9d

But also found tons of stickers and other Disney nail decals that appear to be fairly cheap when it has free shipping.

Great ideas everybody!

Here are some more of ours from other trips!

You and your daughter are so creative! :goodvibes Do you guys use the Sally nail pens for all of the intricate designs or do you use other tools? Some of the details are so tiny and intricate. I am impressed! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh I can't believe I found this thread! I am definitely going to be taking some pictures of my toes and showing you what I do with mine! there are soooo many different ones I've done. I love doing Disney toes.

Lots of pictures to come.

I also saw "water decals" in my searches. It seems that you have add water to get them off the paper and slide them on to your nail some how. Sounds tricky to me. I haven't seen them in the stores I've looked at. Just online.

Water decals are tricky, it took me 3 tries to figure it out, once I did it was easy.

It's not a sticker, it's a water decal.
I have them as well, the same person Matt posted about sent me a bunch of them for my birthday. :) I had lime green nails tips with the Mickey and glitter top coat. I'll go see if I can find a photo....I think it's only on my phone......If I can find the photo I'll post it.
