Disney Myths and Legends

Thanks. And there was a CM who was killed in CoP by the revolving theater. That's it.

Oh, I have more (basically my accomplishments from the summer):

-Shadow figures only visible to cameras have appeared in Star Tours speeders.
-A boy and girl are spotted near Spaceship Earth during operating hours.
-A figure has been spotted near Kilimanjaro Safaris.
-Supposedly AK is built over Native American burial grounds, and Disney had NA shamen come to calm the angry spirits.
-a bunch of things have been spotted on MS USA.
My last one
In the early 90's a man broke into Epcot with a shotgun and demanded to see his ex-gf. He took several hostages in bathrooms near JII and held them there until police showed up, where he released them and shot himself in the chest. Apparently his gf had just broken up with him.

That's all I've got.

Ok there's a very easy, and humane answer for all these ghost sightings...... There all DHI's duhhhh

Just found this one from magicmountian.net

The Disneyland version of "The Haunted Mansion" has bullet holes from a shooting that occured in the 1970s
True - During the 1970s at Disneyland a guest brought a gun into "The Haunted Mansion" attraction, and started shooting holes in the large pane of glass used in the ballroom scene. Since the glass was too large to move, Disney just taped up the bullet holes. You can still see some of the spider-webbed glass caused

That was actually in America Sings at Disneyland, I'm sure the safety upgrades they installed in the theater after that accident were also put into the WDW theater to prevent anything like that happening again.

There was a story my sister told me about guests seeing a man in the Haunted Mansion walk down the hall scene and into a door. People would say it wasn't part of the ride and complain about it. Finally,Disney employees find out it was the janitor trying to scare people. ~

The only official legend I know is the Walt's cryogenically frozen body one.

Not sure if this is an actual myth, but there's supposedly an apartment over the firehouse on Main Street, USA. Though this most likely was just something made up for those books by Ridley Pearson.

In the latest vacation planner DVD they mention this, so seems like its more leaning toward the truth side.

There is(was) real alligators in the water around the splash mountain ride

This one's false, though it is said that Walt Disney is one of the singing busts in the Haunted Mansion.

Walt Disney's body lies cryogenically frozen in a secret chamber buried beneath Disney's Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.

I thought it was just his head.....

According to some kid on another thread there was a secret pin trading room in epcot but i highly doubt this is true
