Disney Must Dos?

Hi everyone!
I am going to Disney on Wednesday and I am going to be there until the 11th.
I really want to make this trip the best one yet by doing lots of new things, so does anyone have any ideas for some must dos?

I already have ones like, eat the red velvet cheesecake cupcake at starring rolls and get beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter, but I'm having trouble thinking of some more must dos. If anyone has any ideas, please comment below! It would be greatly appreciated.​

Take an hour or two and slow down and look at the details in the park. There is an amazing amount of detail. Have you seen the Roger Rabbit silhouette at DHS? Or pulled the rope at Indiana Jones? Or looked under the mat at the Muppets? or stand under the umbrella at DHS?

Every park has hidden treasures that many of us, including myself, that we hurry past to get to the next line.

Animation Academy? That's what I'll be doing on my solo trip!!! How about wandering through every country at World Showcase?

For the love of all things Disney, please stay for the night time shows/fireworks - Electric Light Parade, Wishes, Fantasmic. I am amazed by these shows even after multiple viewings.

SOTMK (the interactive card/strategy game) get a pack of cards at the Firehouse each day you go into Magic Kingdom. The cards are free and it's a great way to find new corners of the park. I second the Animation Academy at HS you will probably end up doing it multiple times. Resort hop maybe have a progressive dinner at the monorail resorts (lounge menus?)

After several WDW trips, I discovered "One Man's Dream" at DHS. I was surprised how much it fascinated me! It's sort of a combination of museum/film about Walt Disney's life. My friend and I spent about half an hour there. I could tell she was getting bored, so we left before I was ready to go. We never even saw the film! I plan to spend at least an hour there next trip.

As othere have said, if you slow down a little, and don't rush from thing to thing, you'll find out what you've been missing! That's how I feel about AK - so many people say it's a "half day park," but I always spend two full days there.

Wait, what? What is this? The SOTMK thing, I have never heard of it.

It's a cool little game in MK. You get started by visiting Firehouse. They will explain the game, show you how to open the portals and each member in your party will get a package of cards. The cards are spells and can be used at the various portals to help defeat the villians. They will give you a map and then you are off. Tip if you play this game: when you get to the portal area, look on the ground and you will see what looks like a manhole cover with the game logo. This is where you will need to stand so that cameras can pick up the card that you are trying to play.

Where is the firehouse?

If you are night owls, hang out in the Magic Kingdom after Wishes and the MSEP to people watch. We usually grab a drink and snack and hang out in the Hub and watch all the people heading out. Being in the MK at night after the crowds are gone really is "magical".

Also, If you have never ridden the Jungle Cruise at night it is a whole different experience.

Last trip we did "Pick A Pearl" in the Japanese Pavillon - was about $15. We had so much fun picking our oysters and the pearls are prized possessions! Have a blast!

Wow, I'm glad I saw this. As someone who's played numerous collectible card games over the years I'm excited. Although I'm sure my DF will hate me playing it on our honeymoon. That or it may be the only card game she's OK with me playing.

My kids LOVE this game! And just a hint... If the lines at the fire house are long, there's another kiosk in Liberty Square. Go behind the Christmas shop, near where Tiana has her meet and greet. There's a kiosk there where you can pick up cards and learn about the game, get it started on your bands, etc. And everyone in your party can get their own pack of cards every day you go into MK. You just have to play one of the portals each day, so they see you're actually playing and not just collecting the cards!

There are also booster packs for sale in the park with a play-at-home board game and a rare collectible card. They're about $13 or $14 and you can get them, I believe, in the Emporium.
