Can anyone come up with some music from Dsiney movies(or other Disney related stuff) that can be played at my wedding reception? My fiance isn't keen on Disney theme reception, but I can sneak in the music-he doesn't watch the movies much. All I can come up with is- Can you feel the love tonight by Elton John and A whole new world from Aladdin.

Once Upon a Dream (Sleeping Beauty)

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes (Cinderella)

So This is Love (Cinderella)

Kiss the Girl (Little Mermaid)

Some Day my Prince Will Come (Snow White)

If I Never Knew You (Pocahontas)

When You Wish Upon a Star (Pinocchio)

Hope this helps

Can You Feel The Love Tonight
edited to say: I am a goof- sorry I must have missed that in the op.
ps: You've got a friend in me is a sweet love song but could not really be sneaked passed the groom.

Maybe you could sneak them in that way too. I haven't bought a soundtrack for a while, but I know that Aladdin has them and some of the other movies form around that time.

There is a lovely one by Phil Collins from "Tarzan" -- would love to dance to it with DD at her wedding. BTW -- DD is currently 4, so we have some time to practice.

There are so many to choice from! There's a classic Disney 5 CD set that we have and I just looked at it. Many options.

This is from Illuminations, I really like it for a wedding.

"Promise"

Kellie Coffey:

Every evening
Brings an ending
Every day becomes a legacy

Every sunset
Leads to morning
With the promise of opportunity

We can reach for the stars we find along the way
Dreaming as we learn to love everyday

Promise
You will take my hand
As tomorrow comes
We'll go on

We'll go on
Growing closer through the years
Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
If two can be as one
We'll go on

There is music
If you listen
In the rhythm of each breath we take

Destinations
Undiscovered
Revelations from every choice we make

And I know
There are diamonds dancin' in the sky
All we have to do
Is open our eyes

Promise
We'll walk side by side
As a new day dawns
We'll go on

We'll go on
Growing closer through the years
Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
A new life has begun
The two of us as one
We'll go on

Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
A new life has begun
When two of us are one
And we live to keep the promise

We'll go on

Ever on

We'll go on

The Illuminations song is great. I made DH an "anniversary cd" of our favorites songs and that was one of them! You'll be in My Heart is DD and my special song as I rocked her to sleep with it for three years......she still remembers.
I'm ready to go back and see Illuminations again and we just got back last week. It is getting harder and harder to wait a whole year in between vacations.

I was married at WDW & used Disney songs to stay with the theme.
Just before I went in to the Pavilion, "When you wish upon a Star".
Marched out to "Someday my Prince will Come".
"Promise" is a really nice song - we have that as one of the background songs on the video.
Also check out "Love" From Robin Hood. We used this as background on the video for when they showed our kid photos.

Love, it seems like only yesterday
You were just a child at play
Now you're all grown up inside of me
Oh, how fast those moments flee
Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on.

Ohhh, love will live
Love will last
Love goes on and on and on

Once we watched a lazy world go by
Now the days seem to fly
Life is brief, but when it's gone
Love goes on and on.

Just for fun you could play "Let's Get Together" from the original Parent Trap.

They don't all have to be love songs, right? There are many beautiful Disney Songs that have won awards and been redone by pop stars and others. Depends on your favorites as well.

No they don't have to be love songs. I was planning on using them during the dinner and receiving line. The first dance I already picked out and most of the dances will be modern dance type songs. It would be cute to have the kids dancing to a song or two.
