Disney music at WP

[A whole new world]

Hi,

On my planning sheet i get to chose a Disney song to walk up the aisle to. I wanted a whole new world or the beauty and the beast one. I brought the disney wedding cd so i could hear it. Is it the cd they play for you or a violinist? I'm a little confused. I'd prefer the cd.

If it is the violinist does it sound like the 'real thing'? What are peoples experiences of the violinist? I have to say violins are not my favourite instrument.

the cd we got from disney was done by the organist but i too have the fairytale weddings cd and i'm not sure who plays on this

I believe for ours the organist and violinist played together. To be honest, I heard the song start, and but I really dont' remember the songs at all. I know the vilonist came to the cake cutting, and what he played there sounded really good.

I think you are speaking of 2 different cds. Disney gives you a sample of their organists playing the music in the WP...that is bsaically what it will be. However, the music on the day of sounds 150% better than the cd. I thought the music sounded beautiful...it fills the entire pavilion and i don't think you'd be disappointed.

That being said we too had a specific song in mind for our exit. we wanted the fantasmic finale...ano organist. So we brought the cd - labeled it a million times and gave it to our planner. She had it played right at that moment and it was awesome. So if you love that song - use that song on a cd.

The cd i have is the Disney Fairtale wedding one that you can buy in the Disney shops. I didn't know you could get a copy of the organists music sample too. Do you know which sounds better on the organist cs out of a whole new world and the beauty and the beast one?

The reason i wasn't going to go with a whole new world to walk down the aisle too was because it was too fast on the cd i have and i would have to almost run down the aisle But if someones playing it they would slow it down.

The organist is AMAZING!!!! He will slow the song down or speed it up, wrap it up or keep playing as need be. I thought for sure I would go for a violin quartet, but DF and I met the organist and he was just fantastic! Luvndisney is right... the organist's music just fills up the pavilion and it's breath-taking. Plus, the Disney Wedding Pavilion organ does not sound like your typical church organ... it actually can mimic a ton of different instruments. Cello, Harp, flute, piano, horn, trumpet, bells, just to name a few!

You really won't need a companion violinist if you use the organ. Plus, I think the DFTW CD is mostly guitar music, right?

We had "A Whole New World" as our first dance song and the violinist played it beautifully. You can definitely tell it is that song, if that makes sense. It brought tears to my eyes as we danced because I could hear the words in my head and I just love the words to that song since it so represents the start of your new life as a married couple.

The organ in the WP can change sounds to sounds like a piano, orchestra etc. Our unity candle lighting song was a whole new world and it sounded beautiful. The organ really fills the WP imo.

According to my information sheet from Disney i get a violinist for the cake cutting afterwards, does that mean i automatically get the organist for the cermony as an escape bride?

Yes we had the organist and violinist for the WP ceremony and the violinist was also at the cake cutting.

Acurry417 after the way you described your first dance 'A whole new World' i'm defiantly going to have it as i walk down the aisle. I just hope i can stay composed Thats song always sends shivers down my spine. Thank-you for clearing up the Escape question i appreciate it

I know how you feel, I still tear up when I think about it. I hoped I wouldn't cry walking down the aisle but I did. I am sending pixies that you stay composed.
I am so excited for you and wish you the best!! Having a wedding is so exciting but having a Disney wedding is extra special!!
