Is it just me or has anyone else ever wondered why some movies don't have an attraction for them? I'm sitting here with DS and while picking out the Disney movie he wanted to watch it dawned on me that movies like Bambi, Pocahontas and lady and the tramp don't have their own rides.

lol I just thought it was strange :rotfl:

Actually there are only a small percentage of Disney movies that have a ride. Now why they chose, say Stitch, over something iconic I really can't say. Most of them work for what they are but I wouldn't want to see to many more.

I guess I am more in the camp of attractions at WDW being their own away from the films a bit. KWIM? Like when I was a kid, The Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Space Mountain, BTMRR, POTC, HM, IASW, even Main Street USA were so special and unique because of the very fact that they weren't movies. They had their own unique place in Disney history and didn't have to have a tie in to a film.

Now don't get me wrong, I love some of the rides that are based off of films like TSM, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, even Peter Pan's Flight.

But what I guess I am saying is I like to see what the Imagineers can come up with as far as a unique park experience and tell a story in that format away from a popular film.

I'm still amazed there's not an Alice In Wonderland dark ride. Surely that film has dark ride written all over it!

My husband is still wishing Disney would make something for LOST lol It's not a movie, but I guess Disney owns it since they own ABC right? He even said the other day that he thought Tom Sawyers Island could be made into the LOST island with the Dharma village and everything. hahaha he's totally serious!

That would be AMAZING!! Ooo they could do characters... I'd happily meet Sawyer over and over again!

Pocahontas is featured pretty prominently in WDW's Fantasmic.

What I'd like is an Emperor's New Groove water park.

I mentioned this in a post the other day, but I think a "mickey mouse clubouse" interactive play area for kids would be great!

Claire :)

I always wanted a ride or something for "National Treasure", what a great movie.

I'm still holding out hope for an "Apple Dumpling Gang" ride. That and The Dean Jones Experience, with interactive exhibits from "The Ugly Dachshund," "That Darn Cat," "Snowball Express," and "The Million Dollar Duck." IT COULD HAPPEN !!!!

Don't forget The Computer that Wore Tennis Shoes" with Kurt Russel. :thumbsup2

First movie I ever saw in the theaters.

C'mon, Don Knotts and Tim Conway were MADE to be audio-animitronics.

I would like to see a Tron ride that incorporates the look of both movies. You get zapped into the original grid from Tron and travel through to the upgraded grid of Tron: Legacy. It would be awesome if done right.

Also I think that they should make a Disney Great Movie Ride. But make it more immersive than the current Great Movie Ride. You would be guided through classic movie environments from live action and animated movies that have not been done as rides/attractions.

I might be alone here but I think a Percy Jackson ride would be awesome!
