I have been a member of the club for a couple of years. I attained VIP status this year. I saw in the enveope that comes from them monthly that if I get someone else to join, I would get 2 free movies.

Just wondering if it was better to sign up again, say with my husbands name and credit card, and get the free movies for a friend joining. Then we would start the process over with my husbands name.

I do not find the perks of being a VIP that great. So far, a couple of times I did see buy one movie at full price, get one for 60% off. It is usually bogo 50% off.

Any thoughts?

Please note that they will track based on address. What we do is when we attain VIP status (meaning we fulfilled our commitment), we cancel, wait a year, then sign up again, using the then current promos.

I have a question concerning the Disney Movie Club. The movies that I want are not included in the original offer, but are they available for purchase after joining? I'm looking for Tangled and Beauty and the Beast. If I can't get either one of those, then its not worth it (for me) to join.

You can cancel and then sign right back up with the same name and address. They do not seem to care.

I just canceled my membership after hitting VIP status last week because I kept forgetting to send back my selection cards. When canceling, the CM on the phone told me to feel free to sign back up again anytime as they would love to have me back.
