Disney Moderate Resorts vs. Cabana Bay if not visiting parks?

I have stayed at both places. I agree that Disney Springs trumps City Walk, more to offer in every way except that the Chocolate Emporium @ CW is great. The edge Cabana Bay has is Volcano Bay next door. If you don’t plan to take the family there, don’t stay at CB because they’ll want to go.
