Does anyone have or remember the "puzzle" pins that came out during the Millenium Celebration at Walt Disney World? One came out each day (I don't know how many there were altogether) and they started selling them October 1st, 1999. The date was on each pin. All the pins could be put together to become Spaceship Earth with the 2000 sign at the side. I can't seem to find anything about them any where. I check E-Bay and no one has them for sale. I was just wondering how rare they are. I have the 1st 10 only. There was also a poster (of sorts), to know what the pins would look like when they were all put together.

Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I have friends who have the whole set! Disney sent an offer out where you could purchase all the sets and they are beautifully framed!

I have the pins from Canada (not framed) which is made from pictures from Sleeping Beauty. It was given to me by a friend. The pieces do indeed fit together like a puzzle. What's odd is that two of the pins have a glossy finish and the rest matte. You can't tell unless you look at them closely.

They are called photomosaics. On the back of mine, it has the 2000 logo along with the date December 5, 1999; Pin Set III of XV. Photomosaics by Robert Silvers.

Do a search on Pinpics (pinpics.com) for photomosaic pins and they will come up. How rare are they? Pretty rare BUT the value will only be there (my opinion) if you have the whole picture. My Canada (#49204) has 0 members trading and only 9 members wanting. That tells me not many people are interesting in owning it.

Hope this helps.

That is what sent me down the slippery slope of pin collecting/trading. My favorite movie is Fantasia, so since that October set is a photmosaic of Fantasia, I had to have it. Got down there the middle of October and all of the first pin were sold out. Well, if I couldn't have a complete set, I wasn't buying any. I got a framed Chernabog pin and the rest is history. I finally did acquire a complete framed set from October 1999. Good luck in your hunt.

I have too been trying to fond the worth of these pins and looking where i can buy them. I only have one pin but I also have the poster that shows the pins placement.
