Disney Military Salute ?

Does anybody know what time of year that Disney typically announces the Military Salute (military ticket discount) for the following year?

We are trying to plan for a WDW vacation in March 2011 and wanted to know what to budget for tickets. If we knew when the Military Salute 2011 info (if any) may be released, that would be helpful.

This past year it was around January 1st. I remember getting so excited that I went to call them and my husband questioned whether they would be open. I am keeping my open for it though. Sure would nice.

I believe the most recent version (4 day) was announced in Dec and the one before that (5 day) was announced in January.

Having said that, these offers are generally very rare and these recent events have been highly unusual.

Although I also am keeping my fingers crossed, it is very questionable whether it will be offered for essentially a third year in a row.

Note that the present 4 day offer was only offered for 9 months, not the full 12. That in itself is a clue that WDW is trying to pull back on the discount.

The 2009 was announced on January 3, 2009. The 2010 was announced in early December 2009.
