OK so where can I find the Disney Mickey ears that say the name on the back? at the park?

How much are they and do they sell the ones that are special edition that have the clouds on them for years of a million dreams?

You can find Mickey Ears at every hat store in the park. However, only a few actually sew names on the back. I know The Mad Hatter on Main Street and The Star Trader in Tomorrowland embroider the names.

As far as I know you cannot purchase the special silver eared YOMD ears. Those are Dream prizes.

the mad hatter in fantasyland should also embroider (didn't even know the chapeau existed in dl?) as does greetings from california in DCA

but unless they stopped, they should sell YOMD mickey ears too, they're a tad more expensive, but feature the blue/white decor with silver ears and LEDs around the ears

I thought it was also a Mad Hatter on Maine Street (down by the square). They were selling the light-up YOMD ears (dark blue cap with silver ears that light up...see my younger son in my siggy picture) when we were there last month. I am also assuming since they are continuing the YOMD in 2008, they will continue to sell the hats. I am pretty sure I also saw the cloud ones for sale, as well, but the ears didn't light up.

My bad. You are, of course, correct. It is the Mad Hatter. Sorry for the confusion.

now i'm going a little cuckoo :)

i can see it clearly in my head even though i haven't been in some time. the mad hatter is in fantasyland, it's next to mr. toad's wildride. near the tea cups and alice, is it not?

i can't honestly recall a hat shop on main street (save the emporium) at disneyland. at WDW, the chapeau is the place and that's right at the base of main street on the side, to the right of the confectionary (facing you as you walk towards main street).

i stand corrected on the colors of the ears though, i jumbled them up. the ones pictured above are for sale (and feature the silver ears/LEDs), it has a 'where dreams come true' logo on the front.

No, you are not cukoo. There is a "Mad Hatter" next to Mr. Toad's and Alice. Then there is "The Mad Hatter" hat shop on Main Street to the right, next to Mr. Lincoln's Greatest Moments, where they are now showing the 50th Anniversary movie with Donald and Steve Martin. You can find characters outside of it throughout the day.

ohhh.. that is so weird... well that's what i learned today, thanks.. sorry about that... 'mad hatter' and 'the mad hatter'... how clever of them.

so do they both do embroidery? according to the disneyland website it appears they do

They both do embroidery. The regular black ears cost about $8.

What is that little cabin hat store next to Splash Mountain (Not the Winnie the Pooh Store)? They do the sewing in there as well.

I don't recall them having the ability. But you can buy your hat there and take it to any of the shops that do embroider and get it done.

Really? Hmmm cause last oct I was watching a hat being stitched there and they were telling me I could have it done. Maybe they dont do it there anymore.

I could be mistaken. Haven't been to that particular hat store in a while. I thought only the bigger ones could do it since they switched over to the embroidery machines. Definitely worth a try.

I know the hat place in Frontierland does, its in the shops across from the shooting gallery. I know they do names since we got a Baby's first Ears done there not long ago for my nephew.

Hi all,

They also do the embroidery at that little kiosk to the right of the bumper cars and also towards the back of California Adventure, on the right hand side across that ride that looks like a silver bullet.

Also you can buy your ears anywhere on property and save the reciept then when you get a chance take it with the reciept to anywhere that does it in the parks.

I can confirm there are the two different Mad Hatter shops, one in Fantasy Land and one on the Maine Street square. When we were there last month, my older son was originally looking for one of the Mad Hatter hats and I said he should check the Mad Hatter shop. He then asked if we could go to it while we were on our way out of Disneyland and I said we were going the wrong direction, since I was thinking about the one in Fantasy Land. We had a little argument about whether there was one on Maine Street; he had seen it the day before and I thought he was confused...turns out he was right, and that is where we ended up buying both boys' Mickey ears hats.

Thanks everyone lol well I was to busy to check this thread before i left lol but I got my hat at the Mad HAtter shop in fantasyland

But I saw a ton of people at the park with the year of a million dreams mickey ears and I could not find it =[ i searched everywhere so instead I got the dark blue one that lights up lol

We have an outlet here in Vegas and I have found all kinds of the mouse ears there. They do not sew on them but I get them for about 2 bucks. So far I have golden ears, princess ears, reindeer ears, safari ears. I keep them in my preschool class. I go there once a month to pick up stuff for our trips. I'm sure they would sew them for a fee at DL.:thumbsup2
