I love the 20D.
I was in a store a couple of weeks ago and I picked up the Rebel XT with the 17-40 f/4L lens mounted ... and talk about temptation! It felt really nice - balanced, not too heavy. All it took was for me to think about the fact that I might be losing my job by the end of the summer - and that was enough for me to put the camera down and walk out of the store.![]()

YEKCIM said:I'm actually mulling a Konica/Minolta 7D, available at present with 18-70 kit lens for a little over $700 from the Stuffmart (WalMart). My old film cam's are Maxxum and I have a pretty good collection of Maxxum glass, so the 7D, at that price, seems like a solid choice. Sony is offering a pretty good buyback warranty, in the event of parts outages on warranty repairs, so the risk of being left high and dry is minimized, since the new Sony dSLR line uses the same mount. In the meantime, I'm not unhappy with the perfomance of my $225 S5200.

There is also some outfit selling refurbs on Ebay for $618(body only), but I would sleep easier if it was new.
