I have a Disney MERCHANDISE gift card (states on the back it cannot be used for PARK TICKETS, GIFT CARDS, or DISNEY DOLLARS)...

Are there ANY places IN Disney World BESIDES the disney store shopping places that this card can be used at?

It's a big amount (over $200) and I'd like to try to use it while we're there in March...BUT if it cannot be used anywhere there, then I'll just use it towards disneystore.com and buy a bunch of fun things there for us- clothing and home decor...what ever. I won't be too upset about it, but I'd LOVE to use it while we're ON vacation!!!

Is it a Disney World or a Disney Store merchandise card? There's a huge difference. If it's a Disney Store card then it can only be used at the Disney store either a brick & mortar store or online and can NOT be used anywhere at WDW. If it's a Disney World merchandise card then it can be used at any store that's owned by Disney (meaning there are places in Epcot and DTD where it can not be used).

I know I'm bumping an old post but I didn't know if the OP ever got an answer to her question.

I have a gift card that says right on the front "Walt Disney World Merchandise Card". It's yellow with a mouse ears icon in the lower left corner. We had gotten it as part of a promotion back in 2009. Back then, some onsite guests were sent a PIN code just before their arrival that they could use to buy the card for a discount over the face value. I took advantage of the spend $455 get $600 offer but there were other amounts you could get.

The bad news is the this card was very specific for where it could be used. It could not be used for dining, resort room, spa, tours, or entertainment like Cirque or surrey bike rentals. It could not be used at certain pavillions in Epcot or at certain stores like Basin. But it could be used for buying souvenirs at just about any Disney owned store. I think that it is similar to the restrictions that were on the birthday celebration promotion from that year. One of the options for birthday guests with multiday tickets was a merchandise gift card instead of a free day of admission.

The good news is that it doesn't expire. Which is a good thing because there is still a considerable amount of money on my gift card.

Anyway, I thought that I would toss this answer out there for the OP in case this is the type of card she has.
