Disney May 2008?

I don't think I'd go right before they went back to school - I'd leave a week in between returning home and going to school to allow time for getting into routine again.

If you want to be there for your child's birthday, I'd maybe have the 30th or 31st as your last day.

We went last year on May 19 for 7 nights and we were hooked. We didn't think the first part of June was two bad, but May is wonderful. This year the best we could do was May 27 for 8 nights. ON the child's birthday you could always celebrate a few days early, with my three kids we have done this several times due to what day their birthday falls on, trust me when I say they won't care if its not actually their brithday. One thing that I have done, and probably will do this year, is have gift baskets delivered to the resort. You could use that as an early birthday present.

We're going May 26 - June 1. I know it will be hot and somewhat crowed. (UG crowd levels 7 & 8) But, later on it will be even hotter and more crowded. Looking forward to the trip and glad to hear some of you say that the last week in May isn't too busy.

We are going May 1-May 10!!!!!!! We go every year in May. We have done last week in July before YUCK!!!!! May is the best: 1. Low crowds 2. Epcot flower show 3. PERFECT weather, rains if at all in am and is great in the eveniing.

We'll be there at the same time! Maybe we'll see each other! We'll be at Epcot ON May 1st, MAY DAY.... I'm so excited!!!

I think the second full week of May is the best. We went that week last year and are going again this year May 4-10th. I used tourguide mike (for the first time ever) and we didn't wait in any lines at all. We walked right onto Splash, Big Thunder, EE, RNR, ToT, and many others everyday of our trip. It was the best Disney trip we have ever had. So I give a big thumbs up to May and to Tourguide Mike.

DH and I are going for our first joint Disney trip in May, so I am so glad to see all the positive remarks! This will be our first anniversary vacation, we're going May 14-17, short but sweet, we can't wait!

We went from May 6th to the 17th last year and had a blast. As other posts said low crowds, and the weather was great.

Took Home Boss out on Saturday for Mothersday stuff (She wanted to see the big flea market outside Orlando)

Mothersday we went to Bilzzard Beach and for the whole day just about owned the place. We were in the wave pool for 1/2 hour alone at 11:00am
There were no lines at all for anything.

I don't know how the other parks were that day.

We usually go the first week of June because my daugher's school does not let out until the end of May and usually they have make-up days at the very end of May. This year we will be going May 30th - June 6th make-up days or not. We have found that the first week in June is okay. The crowds are manageable and eventhough the weather is hot its not as bad as July August September.

Which week would be better time to go, or would they be about the same:
April 20-25 or May 4-9?

My family and I will be there once again in May this year! :dance3:
We love that time to go.
It does seem crowd levels are very low, and we are pulling my son out the last 2 days of school because they aren't doing anything constructive anyway.
We will be there May 19 thru the 24th.
Love POP too!

May 6-14 (cruising 8-11) for us. We haven't been there during this time since our honeymoon in 1974. I do remember it being pretty warm with some afternoon showers. I'm so excited that we'll be able to enjoy the F&G Festival. We also got an ADR at the Rose and Crown for Illuminations.

I'll be there may 5-9 Anyone else staying at shades of green?? Doesnt seem like that many people booked in may! I'm surprised?! seems like the perfect time to go!

We thought we might, but we decided since it's our first big family trip we'd go all out. Definitely SoG or AKL next time!!
