Hi there....what stores are a definite "must do" over at the Marketplace? We are planning on going over there our arrival date to walk around...I know they have a new Toy Store (Once Upon a Toy Store..I think) and also the Lego Land........anything else not to miss?

We have 2 boys.. ages 8 & 3 1/2..........

Thanks!

It's the largest Disney trademark merchandise store in the world, and it is AMAZING!!!

Also: Studio M is a great place to have your picture taken with Mickey. I think you may need reservations to do that; in March of 1999, we had one done as one of our "pluses" on our passes.

Once Upon a Toy is new since we were there, so we're looking forward to that - I've read that you can buy Mr. Potato Head and accessories by the boxfull!!

Don't forget Disney Quest and the Ghirardelli shop if you're into chocolate!!

Have a great trip:D

We did the same thing our first night. We only made it to World of Disney! It was so big with so much neat stuff we spent all our allotted time there!

I guess it may not be an option - I read on another board that it was closed, and I was unable to find any reference to it on the WDW Official site :(

There is a nice place to play in a fountain near the end of DD too, and be sure to check out the huge kaleiodoscope, I think it's near the world of disney store.

We always visit World of Disney each time we go...also Once Upon a Toy, where my kids have fun making Potato Heads, with so many different parts to use! They also have little stations were kids can play with Tinkertoys and another one for Lincoln Logs! I think we spent 2 hours in that store alone last time! LOL

Have fun! :)

I love the World of Disney. It's super for souvenirs. The Art of Disney is great too and so is Disney at Home if you enjoy decorating with Disney items. Then there's Disney's Days of Christmas if you're a Christmas fan like I am and I also always walk through the bookstore to see if there are any new WDW books. The Gourmet Pantry is a great place for treats plus they sometimes have sales on their kitchen items. Of course, like some other posters said, the Once Upon a Toystore and Lego Store are fun places too.

Whew! No wonder I visit Downtown Disney more than once if I get the chance. :)

Check out the new "Basin" store. They have all sorts of great and interesting smelling soaps, gels, and other aromatherapy items. I can't wait to go back in and smell, the last time I went I had a cold and couldn't tell much apart.

Disney Days of Christmas is always a "must do" for me! I have to get my ornaments every year.:D Also, Once Upon a Toy, The Lego store and the World of Disney. If we have time I like to go to the Pooh store and the Mickey at Home store. Ds LOVES the fountains and the Rainforest Cafe.:D :D :D :D

Disney Days of Christmas, Once Upon a Toy, Ghirardelli's (especially if you are a Chocoholic, like me). :Pinkbounc

If you are into pin trading, they have Disney Pin Traders, even if you arent' a pin trader, its fun looking at all the different pins they have.

The Art of Disney and Wonderful World of Memories (where the book store was) are also stores we never miss.

Plus there is a small kiosk that will paint your name in what was called Oriental art. They put different symbols around the letters fo the name. We did our daughter's name and are going to get it framed to hang on her wall.

And definitely World of Disney. They have just about everything there.
