Hey I just signed up for the Disney Marathon. Apparently Disney Visa has early registration and discounts :). If you have one, check DisneyRewards.com

And the good news is: you DON'T need a Disney VISA card to take advantage of the discounted price! I signed up yesterday and got the discounted price using my AMEX card.

Don't know if they are going to 'fix' this oversight, or, if this is intentional to get more people to register early (knowing people would figure it out. Very clever!)

So if you want to discount, you might not want to dawdle....

I know I half expected this thread to take off. Although I suppose this isnt like some of the other major marathons because it traditionally doesnt sell out within a couple hours.

Thanks for posting this. I hope they'll do the same for the Princess 1/2. I'll have to check back.

That explanation makes a lot of sense. I know some cardholders are upset at the lack of exclusivity, but I think it's great that more people will be able to register with a lower entry fee. I highly doubt Disney didn't plan for this; otherwise it would have been a code like the DVC discount.

I was able to sign up using the "glitch" but now my brother wants to take advantage of it and can't... seems like they may have figured it out. Bummer.

Do they still offer this advantage for Visa card holders?

I called Disneyrewards.com's customer service and was told they don't have access to any discount codes that have been removed from their web site. Bummer.

I accidentally did this last year. ;) I wasn't kicked out.

I must admit that I was surprised the 1/2 registration was open as long as it was last year. With it being an anniversary year, and a 1/2 distance which seems to be more popular than the full distance right now, I thought it would fill quickly. I wonder if the full will sell out quicker this year, or if it will take just as long to fill that race.

Call back. I did the same thing yesterday [4/6] and they rerouted me to someone else. Actually called me back and 10 minutes later mailed me the link. And just so you're prepared, there's $9.28 "processing fee" for each registration. I think this is standard, but just wanted to give you a heads up. :surfweb:

Double that if you are planning Goofy :scared:

Awesome! - I actually found this in another thread about an hour before you posted and am now signed up for my very first full! I figure the saved $15 gets me the pin for "free" :woohoo:

Thanks for posting!
