Can someone tell me where you can get the Disney's
Magical Moments pins? How much are they? Do you buy them for each kid? Are they
worth it?

Thanks,
Samantha

Are you talking about the pins that light up and you can play games on? If so, you can get them at several places (most places that sell pins). We got ours in the sorcerer's hat at MGM. I think they were around $10. They are supposed to light up at certain spots on rides. I got these for my girls when they were 9 and 6. They were kind of a pain. I was more into them than the kids were. I took them back with us on our next trip an the kids didn't fool with them at all. They have, however, worn their Guest of Honor name badges everytime and really enjoyed the extra special attention they get from those.

Are these the pins you are speaking of?

From what I see these were for the 100 Years of Magic celebration several years ago (before my Disney times!) I could nto find anything on the Disney Pin Trading site when I searched on Magical Moments, I could not find anything - http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/index

I have not noticed that they are still available, but then again I have not specifically looked for them!

You guys are great...that is just what I needed to know. Thank you very much for the help!!!!

Yes, yes..those are the pins we bought!!! Ours are just a little different and I also now remember we did pay around $15 for them in 2004. I'm pretty sure that I have seen them in one of our more recent trips as well.

I say, check them out when you get there and decide. They were neat for a while but I'm not sure that they are $15 worth of neat.

I just asked my now 12 year old and she said she thinks they are cool and would take it back again with us if she could remember to pack it. I'm not entirely convinced, but maybe we'll give it a shot.

Wait...hold on...I had her run and get it, so I'm looking at it now and remembering that it's kind of weighty and that was a little problem. We wore tank tops and I remember she couldn't really find a good place to attach it. This one has a picture of the Epcot ball, the castle with Tink, the tree at AK and the sorcerer's hat all on the same pin. It is also a game with 4 different color buttons on the bottom edge of the pin. You can play "Simon" like games with it. I thought for sure my kids would use this as a distraction while waiting in line for rides, but they didn't really. I think it was kind of a bother to get off and then back on their shirt. I started attaching it up near their collars where their shirts were sturdier, but then they couldn't see it go off on the rides. It has two pin backs with rubber pin stops. It stays on very securely, but may be better suited for a bag or hat or lanyard. Looking at the aforementioned website though makes me think that maybe the pin no longer plays games since there is now a separate game and it doesn't look like the button there has the colored game buttons on the bottom edge.

Hope this helps. Good luck in your decision making!!!
