Does the Disney Majical Express bus leave the airport at certian times? We are supposed to get to MCO at 9:15am. By the time we get to the DME how long after we register will it take for us to arrive at Port Orleans Riverside??

Buses tend to leave the airport for each resort every half hour, more often if there are lots of people waiting, a little less often late in the evening or very early in the morning.

Still it is not good to plan a tight schedule getting to your resort because your plane might be late.

Our last 2 trips it took 1 hour from the time we stepped off the plane until we were standing in the lobby of our resort.

Average time would be 70-90 minutes from deplaning. This of course is if you dont stop and eat or shop or anything like that. DME runs based on guests arriving and that early in the AM many flights will start arriving so they will be running pretty often. But no, there isnt a 'fixed' schedule or route.

So the answer to the question asked is: no, buses do NOT leave the airport at specific times. They leave as needed. If a bus fills up, or reasonably fills up, in five minutes, it's not going to wait (for example ONLY) another twenty-five minutes just to keep on some non-existent schedule.

Now, later in the evening, it's true if there are only a few Guests are on the bus and more are expected shortly, the bus may wait longer than the Guests aboard think necessary - but if you're the one just getting in, you'd appreciate it :rotfl2:

Yes. You are correct. Some people have reported being the only guests on a DME bus to their resort while others have been packed to the gills. It all depends. We went once over MLK weekend and the lines were enormous for DME. Last year we went in early Nov and we were one of maybe 3 families on our bus.

I go the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and they are very busy shuttling people BACK to the airport on DME. A great deal leave on Saturday to take advantage of an extra day at home with the kids before going back to school after the holiday.

I arrive around 9:15 am and they have never even waited to fill a bus (I go to POR) before they head back to the resort areas.

This timing also assumes you use the DME luggage transfer service or have only carry-on bags. If you plan to stop and collect your own bags, add at least another 15 minutes (and potentially more) to the timeline for planning purposes.
