Hi everybody! We are thinking about using the Disney Magical Express since we are staying at Disney All Star Sports Resort. Is this free? And do they handle all you bags? We are flying American Airlines, should this be a problem? Also, should we call and speak with somebody about this plan? Any help with this would mean a lot. Thanks.

It is free. Call Disney and let them know your flight info. They will send you yellow luggage tags to put on your checked bags BEFORE you leave home. When you get to MCO, don't pick up your luggage, go directly to the ME desk with your voucher and they'll take you to your Disney resort. Your luggage will be delivered to your room later in the day.

We are flying Frontier and staying at the POR, are they a participating airline? Thanks! :thumbsup2

"PArticipating airline" ONLY matters for the way home, and even then it only means that people flying those airlines don't have to handle their own luggage.

EVERYONE on EVERY AIRLINE can use DME.

Please read at least the first post in the "What participating airline really means" sticky thread at the top of this, the Trsnsportation forum.:goodvibes

P.S. I saw your photo in your trip report -- you don't look like a yenta!

We just got back from an eight night nine day trip to disney world on Sunday and we used the Magical Express both ways and it worked out great for us. Although you can expect to have a wait at the airport on arrival if you are going to a more popular resort. We stayed at Pop Century and the line was longer for this resort than for some of the others but it still wasn't a bad wait. We were also the first dropped off once we reached disney property so thats an extra plus for staying at Pop over the other Value resorts. Our return trip back we were picked up at Pop at 6:15pm for a return flight of 9:05pm. We were the only resort picked up for the return trip to the airport. The bus was not even a quarter of the way full so I would definately recommend that if at all possible you book a late return flight. It will give you extra time in the park as well as a short trip to the airport with not having to stop at other resorts. On our last day we also asked for a later check-out and were able to get it extended by 1.5 hrs, better than nothing as we waited till that same day to ask for a later check-out. Probably had we of done this sooner we may have gotten an even later check-out time.
