Disney Magic Renovations CONFIRMED

Looks great to me! I booked a dummy cruise on the Magic and I think I'm going to move it to a back to back for Spring Break 2014! That will put us in the 4 for 4 club!

Very excited to see the changes. The Magic is my favorite ship so anxious to see it all done. Now even more excited that I booked a trip only one month after her dry dock! Any ideas what changes they are making to the spa? I would love hot tubs in the rainforest room like on the newer ships!

I can't wait to cruise on the Magic after her dry dock. It will be like coming back to an old friend only better :) I think they should have left the atrium alone tho. But still so excited!!!

No changes to the Goofy pool? I wish they'd make it bigger and make a shallow end with a divider and then have a deeper end so the 3 and up potty trained set could enjoy it. 4 feet deep is way too deep for many kids.

Such exciting news!! I love the Magic and the enhancements look great!! Hope they also upgrade the adults pool area a little. I love to see Disney constantly bringing new innovations and high-quality experiences to the table!! :)

That would be nice only if they could get them to actually be HOT. The ones on the Fantasy didn't get above 91. It was lukewarm.

Prices will go up because of actions in Washington, not what Dinsey does. Your dollars is worthless.

Disney with these minor changes to Magic is not keeping up with industry. They are trying to live on there past.

Look at video of Royal Princess, has DCL ships covered in every aspect, including kids. RBL has many great ships now and more coming. Even Carnival is stepping up with renotavated new Sunshine.

Cruise on Royal Princess prices is less than DCL. Will net out close to same but as on now Princess new ships offer more.

I see this as bandaid until they get to next ships.

Atrium looks terrible with half the steps. What did they have in mind.

Redoing parriot cay, ok, but its like moving the deck chairs on the Titanic. Does not influnce me or the kids as to weather we sail on the ship.
Best change i saw was the adult night culb, we were in their three nights and the set up really did not work.
Kids pool change and slides are good but half-way moves.

That's how it is on the Dream & Fantasy. Opens up the space. On the Fantasy, it was perfect when the huge Christmas tree was there. Works well there.

Disney knows they can't please everyone.

Email just received from Disney confirms Cabanas on Magic with this quote:

"Cabanas is an expanded casual dining experience themed to the Australian setting of the Disney-Pixar animated classic "Finding Nemo."

Wow -- it's exciting to get some official info after all the months of speculating!

So will there now only be one pool for kids/families? I've only been on the new ships, but two pools is not enough on those!

Also, I've noticed that many seem to be disappointed in the changes to AP. What happens at AP now on the classic ships? Is there a show of some kind?

Parot cay, Atrium, Pools, Slides, Splash Zones, Topsiders, were and have been on Dis boards for a long time. Only one i did not see was the adult ent. Area. Congrats to all the rumor group you are keeping your reputation in tack.

Let's just go ahead and call it the Aqua Wedgie... Cripes. There will be some firmly lodged bikini bottoms!! I still think it looks like great fun.

I wonder what will become of the old chandelier... Any thoughts?

Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention a huge improvement that I have been waiting for...new bedding!!! HALLELUJAH!!!

:thumbsup2

I'm just glad they always please me, my family and usually everyone else around us. :cool1:

Sep 2014 West Bound Trasatlantic all new Disney Magic, Here we Come :yay:

The thought on cruising on the Wonder never crossed my mind, but with the new changes I would take it into consideration. I am really loving the new look and upgraded bedding is great. When I looked at the pictures of the rooms, it just turned me off from the ship. So excited though.

I haven't read all the comments but from the artist renderings I love the changes. Everything looks so much more bright and open and I know the kids will have a blast in the new spaces.

There is the color change show of the drawings from black & white to color during dinner in AP classics now.

The Mickey pool is just going to be replaced by the aqua lab pool.

It also looks like if they are adding the Nephew' Splash Zone under the funnel a la where Nemo's Reef is on the new ships, that they will be moving the food areas as well maybe like where Flo's is? We did have an officer tell us in Dec on the Fantasy they were essentially rippling off the entire pool deck and staring over...... We took that with a grain of salt.... Looks like some is coming into fruition!!!

Awesome -- thanks for the info! I didn't notice the AquaLab pool in the photos until you pointed that out.

I'm excited for the changes, but then I've never been on the classics so I don't have any nostalgic feelings for them!
