hhhmmmm, doesn't do me much good since Colton is 13, Connor is 11, so he would qualify, BUT what kind of savings is that? $500? Not much of an incentive to travel. Now our $1350 savings at the Beach Club? THAT'S more like it! I was thinking that this might be good for Jenn to try and do, however, they are a family of 6, so they would need 2 staterooms, an adult in each, then the 2 oldest girls would be charged as an adult, then the babies would be free, but they would be any how since they aren't 3 yet! So that saves them no money at all! This senerio might work for a family with 2 or 3 kids between 3 and 12 and I am sure there are families out there. It could save them $1000. Then they could tack on a 4/3 parks stay. For some, it WILL be a good deal, just not for most of us.

I just figured it out....for a 3 night cruise in May, for our family of 4, it would be $2667.92. If you use the code FREE, that takes off Connor, it would be $2195.92, for a total savings of $472. That's in a Cat 9 Deluxe Ocean View. That's a pricey 3 nights. I know our 5 night is just as bad, but not quite that bad. Plus our 5 night is a double dip...I'd pay "just" about anything to spend more time on Castaway Cay...and Disney knows that! LOL

Soooo, in Kristin's case, she would save $944 and pay $1723.92 for her 3 nights aboard the Wonder. Is it worth it? I don't know. :confused3 To me, no, I would rather spend a bit more and have a full week, then just a few days. BUT, if you were new to cruising and wanted to "try" a cruise, this is a deal. Maybe that's what they are looking for, trying to get more Castaway Club members? Of if you were limited to the amount of time you could vacation, then this might work. I am sure there will be many threads about this and what works and doesn't. Just the dining, some people love it, us for one, and others don't. I shake my head at people that say the DDP is too much food. Good gracious! Do you not eat 2 meals a day at home? And a snack too? Anyway.....I digress, again! LOL I am sure there will be families that will be thrilled with this plan and kudos to them!! ENJOY that cruise!!!!

For us, even if my kids were free, it wouldn't be worth it, because airfare for 4 from Mpls would be too much for a 3 day trip.

That's just it. Who's going to spend that much time and money for a 3 night cruise? Really, very few, unless you tie it in with a stay at the parks. Disney could have done so much better with this offer. It could have been something along the lins of, book a 7 night parks stay and get a 3 night cruise for half off. Sure, thats even more of a discount on the cruise, but they would make that up in the park stay. Oh well, I hope it does what they want...increase cruisers. 3 nights must not be that popular and that's why they are offering the deal on that only.

Hey Ladies,

Nancy did you sleep better last night???

I did thanks........but still tired though LOL
maybe I'm getting a cold or something.......Kevin IS sick today, came home with a fever and runny nose...

Good Evening Everyone!!

Nancy, sorry to hear that Kevin is sick!! Not fun!!

What's everyone up to? We're just hanging out. Colton it playing a game and I am starting to get mad at him! I told him nearly 20 mins ago to turn it off. If I hear, "One more Sec" or "Wait until I get to a place where I can save it" once more, I am going to LOSE it!
