Disney Magic May 10-15, 2015 Bahamas

We are set to make our reservation for our first cruise once we gather some additional information regarding trip insurance. It will me me and the hubs and my mother plus out 2 kiddos - 4 and 5 at the time of cruising! Very excited! We would love to do FEs! Any advice about trip insurance?

I am excited to be taking my husband and my son (7) on his first cruise on-board the Magic. I was fortunate enough to see the Magic back in March and was so impressed with the re-imagined spaces and the staff. I am so excited to be spending 5 nights on this beautiful ship. I plan to join in the FE as well. Already starting to think about what kind of gifts we want to bring.

My last trip was an agent training, so it was just adults in my group. We spent every evening in the Pub for trivia before dinner, which was such a blast. I am excited to see the ship through a child's eyes this time. I know my son will have an amazing time.

Has anyone done the fish extenders from this current booking group? Looking to do it this time, didnt on our first cruise w Disney. I just want to know how much stuff you typically bring and do you walk entire ship to deposit gifts in every door? So excited to cruise again. I was 20 wks pregnant the last time, and had a 3 yr old with us. This time I will have a 9mth old and 4 yr old. We just fell in love with the cruiseline! Wish it was sooner!!

Is there a fish extenders group made for this cruise yet? I can't remember. But only gifts for the people that sign up, not the whole ship. It's a fun activity. Someone needs to be in charge and keep all the names/staterooms of people who want to be involved. We did it on one cruise and haven't done it since because you end up bringing a lot of 'stuff' home that takes up precious suitcase room. It also takes up cruise time to deliver the gifts. It's fun though, and I'd think especially for the little ones.

As far as trip insurance, we love Travel Guard. We have actually had to file a claim with Travel Guard and it was smooth and painless. I highly recommend them!

Hello everyone! We are booking this cruise next week! It will be my dad, my sister, my DD (3.5), and I on the cruise! I can't wait. We were on the June 1st Dream cruise and I miss it so much!

My family is all booked for this cruise. My name is Meghan, my husband is Vinny, and our four kids are Olivia, Vinny, Connor, and Shannon. Their ages at time of cruising will be 6, 5, 4, and almost 3. We are all very excited!! :cool1:

Hello! This will be my family's 1st cruise ever and we are so excited!! My daughter will be 5 and my son 8 at the time of the cruise. My parents are also cruising with us and it's their 1st time as well!
This site was recommended to me by a co-worker who will be taking his 3rd Disney cruise in 2015. I honestly have no idea what to expect so any info or tips would be greatly appreciated!

There are many threads on this site that can help with questions and suggestions.

Good luck with your planning. The kids will love the clubs.

Welcome! This will be our 3rd DCL cruise but my mom is traveling with us and it will be her first. You will have a great time!!

Just a reminder to all to check their travel documents.

If using a passport, make sure that it's valid for at least 6 months after the date of the cruise.

If using birth certificates, make sure they have a raised seal and are long form (if your state offers both short & long form).

We are booked for the May cruise! All of us are new to the Disney Cruise - for some of our group, this will be their first cruise ever!

Total we have 9 adults. And 8 kids. Children range from ages 8 months - 7 years old.

Looking forward to the MAGIC!

Unfortunately, posts have been removed from a number of Cruise Meets threads including this one.

PLEASE review the Cruise Meet Policy regarding Cruise Meet and Fish Extender programs. - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3353477

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions, etc.).

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Hello all! We are looking forward to our second Disney cruise and I am counting down the days! On the last cruise, my family participated in the FE and we loved it. I am looking to see if anyone has info on an FE group for our May cruise. :cool1:

Hi everyone!

My family and I will be on this cruise as first-time Disney Cruisers! We are so excited, and are looking for information on the door decorating, fish extender exchanges, and general tips about cruising with Disney. I'll be accompanied by my personal "mob," my husband, our three children, and my parents. Any tips/info would be much appreciated!

We are so excited to start a new tradition! Looking forward to hearing from all of you!

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems has coming forward recently to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread. There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Many Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Reminder:
The excursion/adult dining/spa treatment booking & on-line check-in window for Gold Castaway Members opens this Sunday (1/25) at Midnight Eastern. You need to be paid in full to be able to book excursions, adult dining, spa treatments and child care. On-line check-in can be completed even if you are not paid in full.

We are sailing May 10th also. 3rd cruise, 3rd different ship. Looking forward to doing a slightly different Bahamas cruise. Celebrating my wife's 50th birthday (she will actually turn 51) on this cruise since we finally have both the time and the money to do so.
