Disney Magic June 29 - July 6, 2016

fyi--Copenhagen Plaza has 4 family rooms (sleeps 2A+2C) left for around $300. Right at train station and across from Tivoli. The train is VERY easy to take from the airport.

Well..You did say ask :)
- Anyone staying at the Radisson Blu Copenhagen before this or have stayed there before?
- FE followup. Seems they list those organizers as no allowed? Unless I'm reading it wrong https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faq/prohibited-items/room-decorations/
- What are the "first things" once on board? Getting tickets for characters?
- Anyone know if there are HDMI ports on the TVs and if they work? i.e. can i connect my tablet to it to preview my pictures etc.
- For those with younger kids, outside of port time do kids mostly spend time in the kids clubs? If they are in one and decide they want to get picked up, how does that work?
- Anyone know a good website for teaching basic Scandinavian? I know they speak English too but hey, I like to learn random stuff.
- What are the pros and cons to each rotation restaurant? I see people wanting specific rotation. Why?

Sorry, very new to this and education up front will help avoid micro-management closer to departure :)

I will answer what I can.
- I don't know if anyone is staying at Radisson Blu. I am at Tivoli Hotel-
- I think you are reading it wrong. Over the door shoe organizers are prohibited. Also I am not allowed on this board to send you to other social sites (fb or MySpace etc)-
- there are tickets that are free for meet and greets, Marvel characters, Anna and Elsa. The place to get the tickets will be noted in the Navigator that you will get while checking in. The Navigator will have activities that are planned so you can decide what you will like to do. -
- I don't think you can connect anything to the TV -
- I don't have kids, but as I understand the clubs are open most of the days and you can put them into it at anytime. As for picking them up, there are two wave phones in each cabin on the Magic. The counsellors in the kids club will text you on these phones if your kid wants to leave the club -
- I found an app called forvo that can teach you to pronounce the words you type in. Only you have to write the word. I found out how to pronounce Geiranger fjord! -
- Usually people want a specific rotation to either avoid a particular MDR on a specific night, to go to Palo, or they want that particular MDR on a particular day. I have been on two other DCL cruises, and have left the rotation up to chance. For a seven night cruise, you will experience all three MDRs. -

Hope I answered some. I also think that asking these questions in other areas will also be beneficial.

I just booked on to this cruise and am so excited. My family of 4 will be me, my husband and 2 daughters (18,20). We would love to participate in the FE so please count us in. Are there any details yet?

I am organizing the FE for this cruise. If you have not signed up yet, please PM me with your email address. Thanks!
Not sure how to PM you but I would love to join the FE Group. There are 4 in my cabin. Me, my husband and 2 daughters ages 18 & 20. Thanks so much.

Tried the 10+ posts. Then tried to PM you. Perhaps the Disboards take time to update? It's still not letting me PM you. Will it allow you to PM me? Maybe if we open the conversation i can respond?

Thanks so much for your guidance.

Great to see some one with Dd the same age group as mine! My Dd turns 20 just days after we return from the cruise!

image.jpeg I'm so excited to join this group! My 19 almost 20 year old Dd, Loryn and I will go on our first DCL cruise together. We are a bi- continent family. My daughter and her Dad live in Copenhagen, I teach school in Louisiana during the school year and spend my whole summer in Copenhagen. I love Copenhagen summers. Last summer was rather cold, but it beats the hot Louisiana summers.
If anyone wants any Copenhagen tips, just ask. But not hotel questions... I've never stayed in a hotel;-)
My favorite place in Copenhagen is Tivoli. Walt himself walked around Tivoli gathering inspiration for Disneyland. It's not WDW, but has very Danish charm!

Welcome! Glad to have you aboard! I have never been to Copenhagen before and I am so looking forward to it.

Hey my friend and I will be travelling on this cruise. Not sure if we're up for FE this time around but we'll see.

I will say to those who are getting in the morning of last year I did the Northern Europe cruise and we got in at like 7:00am and because the cruise terminal and such wasn't ready they had a tour guide take us on a two hour tour of Copenhagen. No guarantee they do that every time but it was a nice way to get acquainted with the city if you're staying post cruise or even if you just want to see a bit but aren't staying.

Oh isn't that nice! Well. We will have to see what happens. We are so excited!

Hi all! DH, DS (almost 5 at cruise) and I are looking forward to our first European cruise! This is our third DCL cruise (4 day Dream Bahamas, 7 day Western - I think - Caribbean on the Magic) as a family and we're really looking forward to this one! We're booking excursions at the end of the month. Anybody have any fun excursion plans yet?

We're planning to book through Disney for some even though it's more expensive because it's a lot less stressful for me as the planner. Our plan is to do more half day excursions (which most seem to be on this cruise) so we also have time to check things out on our own. We want to do kayaking in Geiranger, the farm visit in Bergen, and we'd like to see Giske & Godøy while we're in Alesund. Nothing set for Stavanger yet. Of course this may change based on if any bookings are sold out by the time our booking window opens so we'll see.
