Disney Magic July 13, 2012 2 Night

By the way, I've just read about "fish extenders" - the custom of hanging little bags off the fish hoon on your door, and filling them with treats - kind of reverse trick or treat style. Is anyone planning on doing that?

Just booked our 2 night cruise. I'm so excited! We've vacationed at Disney many times, but have never been on a cruise. We're driving down from Ottawa Canada.

:welcome: You will love cruising Disney-style!!! We are taking the train up from DC.

I don't know that anybody has planned on doing this. Since there is only one day out, I'm sort of feeling the time isn't there...plus since we are taking the train and only having a carryon bag, the ability to bring things is limited.

Does anybody want to do FE?

Normally I love to do the FE, but I agree the time seems a little short to be delivering on this one.....but I love you all...PROMISE!!

Just got off the Fantasy last week and signed up for this quick 2 nighter .. looking forward to a quick cruise with out the kids this time ... Besides Palo any one have any info on what they are planning or its just a good tester cruise for those who have not done it??

We have never been on a Disney cruise but I've read about the FE. I think it is too short of a time to do that but is there something else us DISers can do like the FE? :confused3

Too short of a cruise for the FE we just came off the Fantasy and we had @50 people in the FE it was split into 2 groups it was fantastic!

is anyone else doing Palo ??

I was told on the fantasy due to the short duration of this trip we will not be able to book another cruise on this trip with the DCL discount and stateroom credit. Anyone else hear this?

No, but then I didn't book this on board, it was a last minute decision. I wouldn't be surprised though as there isn't much time for the cruise desk to be operational.

What i was told on the Fantasy was there was no reduced deposit or % off THIS cruise because of the short duration, but I would find it hard to believe that they won't be offering the future cruise desk/discounts on this cruise...but who knows!

I had already booked the Med cruise for 2013 onboard when the CM told me that I would not get a discount for this one ... it was not very expensive so I did not really care ... either way I guess we shall see ....

Hi All,

My husband and I are sailing with you and leaving the kids home for the weekend. Can't wait!!

I just completed the online for my cruise this am. I got the 12-12:30 boarding (the earliest one they had). I know that we dock at 8:30 am, but what time to we need to be off the ship? I'm hoping we have a bit of time in the morning?

Thanks so much for posting that you did your online check-in for the cruise!

Ours has been PIF for so long that I forgot all about the online stuff. Missed out on the first couple of boarding windows and Palo, but that's okay.
As long as Cove is functioning, my DH will be happy.

I believe that we have to be off the ship by 9-9:30 so that they can get the ship ready for the next cruise. However, I'm sure that someone with more exact knowledge will pipe up and we'll both learn the answer to that one!!

We also got a 12-12:30 boarding time, I was hoping to get earlier, I want to enjoy as much time on the Magic as possible. :goodvibes
We were lucky to get a Palo reservation for Saturday night.

Just to let everyone know...we decided to book the July 15th 5 day to Canada, and cancel this 2 day cruise. Sad that we can't do both.... but........ we will have more days on the ship for our 1st Disney cruise! :thumbsup2

Of the three other DCL cruises we have been on you needed to be off by 9 a.m.

In addition your seating time for breakfast on the final day will be based on your seating time for dinner. Meaning if you have the early seating time for dinner you get an early seating time for breakfast that day. Last month on the Dream I think the time was 6:45 a.m. I know they said that if we came after 7 they could not seat us. You don't have to go there though you could always go to the buffet, but you still need to leave by the announced time.

Lucky you! As I did our online check-in today (almost two weeks late), everything was booked solid.
Enjoy it- the food is amazing!!

Most cruise lines request that you debark soon after returning to port, for they only have a few hours to prepare for the next trip,my wife and I have cruised with four different lines and they are all pretty standard .

Hello everyone!

I realize this is late in the grand scheme of things ... BUT ... I was wondering if there are any single cruisers (one person in a stateroom), who might be looking to reduce their cruise fare by cruising with a room mate? Either that, OR, do you have someone in your stateroom, who is no longer able to attend the cruise?

I am a 50 year old married male, Platinum Castaway Club member living in suburban Philadelphia, looking to sail on a 2-day Magic / NYC cruise. I am a non-smoker, and have no problems dining 1st or 2nd seating. Since I am Platinum, everyone in my stateroom would be entitled to one free PALO dinner. In addition, anyone in my party would be able to board as early as 11AM (regardless of your designated boarding time)

If you have potential interest, or wish to talk about this, please contact me via PM ... I will not be subscribing to this thread.

Enjoy your cruise! popcorn::

Steven
