Disney Magic back in Barcelona for Transatlantic cruise departing Saturday

Yep @mlayton14, they removed deck space around the adult pool, taking away from other fare paying customers just to satisfy the few concierge pax.

@kimmharris, you have 2388 unread emails?!?
That screws with my OCD even just seeing that so bad! lol!

There are a few pics on other DCL related sites. Hopefully we'll see some more tomorrow.

Since DF is not on the magic right now and relying on friends to send pictures, I would say your best resource for reliable up to date information is @Bree?

They have posted loads!

Can you tell me how a photo is not reliable???

Bree is also not on the ship, but getting photos from friends.

A few more pictures posted on another site. The first is the interior of the Concierge Lounge, obviously still being worked on. The second is another view of the outside. The windows with the curtains are the lounge and the outdoor area to the left is the sundeck.

Thank you so much for posting! Love the new spaces! Looking forward to our CL back to back next July/August!

Did DCL do this because DCL CL guests complained? We sailed B2B CL for 20 nights on the Magic and rebooked B2B for next summer before these changes were even rumored. Obviously, we enjoyed our CL experience or we wouldn't have rebooked. I'm excited to see the lounge. That's just bonus. But do you think DCL added these CL amenities because people complained or because DCL needs to entice CL cruisers with similar amenities they would find on other lines like NCL's Haven class?

This was planned as far back as 2013 but didn't occur as the works were too much to do in the time and even without it, the works over run. Since Dream and fantasy had CLs it's the No 1 concierge complaint. I myself had discussions on a CL in 2014 and was told it's coming then, although seemed some didn't know it when asked. The prices for concierge have been squeezed and squeezed to get maximum return. But the product was inferior on the Magic.

Julia and Andy were taken from the Fantasy and Dream to set up this new CL, they did increase benefits in the summer as a temporary fix, free drinks at cove cafe and promenade lounge, free unlimited soda in cans and bottled water.

Cruisers tend to develop their cruising more on the Magic, after being on the Dream and Fantasy they want new ports so in summer that's the Magic.

IMO, they made the change because there are many who consider the Concierge experience on the classic ships (Magic and Wonder) inferior to the experience on the Fantasy and Dream. Those two ships were built with the CL and sundeck. I think they are basically trying to make the concierge experience similar across the line. I'm a big fan of the concierge level on the Magic, I even think the suites are laid out better. The concierge lounge and sundeck are nice additions but it hasn't stopped me from sailing concierge on the Magic. Looking forward to our cruise next year and experiencing the lounge and sun deck.

Can you explain more about where exactly Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is located? The other site mentioned it is on Deck 10 Forward. I don’t recall there was any unused room there before. I think i remember on the elevator lobby on that deck had a few chairs in between the staircases. Are they turning the whole lobby into the BBB?

Is now at the radar stack just forward if cove cafe, cove pool, above the spa entrance. There was an unused room there.

My daughter is desperate to know where Vibe has moved to please! I read the blog but no mention!

I don't think Vibe has moved. Unless they had to move it (maybe due to the Concierge Lounge changes?). Vibe is one deck up (on deck 11), so, IMO, I don't think they would have to make any changes to accommodate the new Concierge space.

Again, just my opinion.
