DISNEY MAGIC - 7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise - November 2, 2014

My family of 4 will be on this cruise along with my sister and her family.

It will be the 5th Disney Cruise for us and #4 on the Magic.

I'm Phil, my wife is Kristen and our two girls are Kaitlin (15) and Allison (12).

We are on deck 7 and are super excited. Hope to meet some of you onboard.

We are booked on this cruise too! Myself and my husband celebrating our 35th anniversary!!!! No kids or grandkids this time but we do have some close adult friends coming along with us. This is our 9th Disney Cruise, 5th on our beloved Magic (our favorite!). Can't wait!!

Hi Everyone!!!

We just booked this cruise also. We had to change from the 7 day Fantasy to this 7 day Magic. Work schedules clashed with dates. I'm so excited.....and so ready to go. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. We did the Dream in 2012. Loved it, but not long enough. It will be me (TaReesa) and my husband (Ray) and our daughter (Brianne-14). If there is a FE, we would like to participate. We're going to join the Facebook page as well. My brothers and their families and my mom are all going with us as well. I'm so excited!!! Hopefully we can meet each other.

We will be on this cruise as well. We are doing back to back cruises out first cruise leaves Oct 26. We are from Colorado and will be cruising with our 12 & 15 year old. Although this will be our 3rd & 4th cruise we have never participated in the fish extender program. Got any advice for a novice?

So, I have been MIA since we booked since we weren't sure if we were going to be able to keep these dates..... but today, we were confirmed for this cruise!!!! I have been doing a dance in my cubicle since getting off the phone with DCL!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!

To Kate (lifeafterkids) I have two kids as well, a 16 (just turning before cruise) and a 9 year old, so I'm very excited to see you are Ina similar boat with kids, I'm nervous about mine being in separate club areas.
We are from pa, just outside of Philly.

My kids actually love being in separate areas.... I actually let my youngest sign herself in and out of the club on our last cruise as long as she called us on the Wave phones and let us know where and when she was doing it.... I can't wait to meet you and I am sure the kids would love to meet and hang out on the boat!!!

I put a request in to join the Facebook group.... The cruise we went on in November was very active and I hope our group can be too.... we set up a few meet and greets on the boat, but if most of us are from NJ, maybe we can meet up before the boat.... I am going through major Disney withdrawl so some people to talk about the cruise with would be AWESOME!!!!

As for a FE I wouldn't mind organizing or helping to..... I can't wait to start making gifts and getting it all together!!!!!

Hi Everyone! We've been signed up for this cruise for quite a while but I kept forgetting to come over here and meet everyone. I'll be cruising with my husband and two kids - Daughter 12 at time of cruise and Son who will turn 6 on the cruise. We are from Central NJ. This will be our second cruise and the second one on the Magic. We liked the ship during our March '12 cruise and can't wait to see what has been upgraded.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'm off to request access to the FE group on Facebook.

We just got off the dream Sunday. We participated in the f e exchange. It was a ton of fun. I could be the host if anyone is interested. I will create a fb group, I think it would easier to do updates there. It's listed as magic November 2.

I will start an excel sheet for the FE so we can start getting an idea...

So i think we need to come up with the following:

1. A date to close it
2. Do we want a group name?
3. Do we want to do multiple lists in case the group gets to large? So the last one i participated in closed a list if it reached 20 cabins.... then started another one. you had the option to be on multiple lists if you wanted.

So if you could comment and leave the following information:

Names of guests in your party
Ages of guests in your party
Cabin number
DisBoard Name
Special requests or comments (ie. allergy, special occasions celebrating, # of cruises, etc.)

Can you think of anything else we might want?

All sounds good but all the ones we participated in on past cruises did not list info here. They were done via PM as many people, especially parents with children sailing, did not want their names, ages, cabin numbers listed on the boards for public viewing. We sent PMs with the info to the FE coordinator and she either gave us access to Excel spreadsheet via PM or just sent us the list via PM. Just a thought for safety reasons.

Although, how did your other group handle posting the list? Did they email it to everyone? Did they post it somewhere for people in our group to access?

I was thinking about using a google document. Would that work better?

Most of the ones we have done they either sent the list to participants via PM or sent a link via PM to a google document. I think I have only done one where there were actual emails. Whichever is fine with us. Thanks for organizing!

My daughter (who just turned 9) and I will be joining this cruise with my best friend (lifeafterkids) and her family. They are frequent cruisers, but this is our first cruise and we are super excited to join them.

We live in New Jersey and due to the snow, snow and more snow we seemed to have had this year - I am looking forward to sun, sand, and lots of fun on the cruise.

We've heard about the FEs and are looking forward to putting our thinking caps on and joining in. We are currently counting down the days wishing time went a little faster....
