I just got off the phone with WDW and I am frustrated with the fact that the MDE suddenly lost my Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Fastpass that I scheduled on opening day of availability. I talked with three different cast members and I still have no solution. I was told that they were not able to see far back enough to verify that I had made the Fastpass selection; and they had no availability that fit ride times for both me and my boyfriend. This is ridiculous IMO. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? :headache:

Did they lose all of your FP+ reservations or just SDMT? Did they replace it with something else? Did you figure it out when you got there or did it just disappear/change on MDE?

I haven't had this happen to me but I did have all the times for my FP+ change on MDE for one day of our upcoming trip. It just happened a couple days ago after a lot of people were having problems logging into the website and the app. In my case it's not a big deal because the times only changed by 10 minutes, but it did make me wonder. I check the app obsessively because I have read reports from other people who say that their A&E FP+ just mysteriously changed to something else. That makes me nervous! I hope you are able to get it straightened out.

Are you looking on the Web site or the app?

I had the change a couple of days ago myself. Here, in short, is what happened: I booked Mine Train the first day it was available after reading about it on here, but I already had three Fast passes for that day, and the MDE showed Mine Train as a 4th Fastpass which overlapped with Peter Pans Flight.

I called Disney with my concerns and was assured that Seven Dwarfs would remain and Peter Pans Flight would drop off. This past weekend I checked it and all three of my days were altered but my Magic Kingdom Day was the most messed up. My boyfriend was the only one with Fast Passes, so I tried to match myself to his. This created more of a problem because I was given a time of 11 PM-12 AM.

The Cast members keep saying they don't have the capability to override the system when it is showing no availability. I told them it is their systems error and I should not be penalized for it.

It is showing the same for both the app and the web. I was told earlier to ignore issues with the app and follow the web. If you were given this same advice.....beware

Something very similar happened to me with A&E FPs. I tried to copy new FP times to other members of my party in the MDE app. All of us had FPs for A&E and two other attractions. I had rearranged our other FP times to be earlier in the day. Since our A&E FPs were not at the exact same time, and there were no other A&E FPs available for that day, the app chose an alternative attraction for the other members of my party and dropped their A&E FPs. I was never asked to confirm the change. The app just did it.

I tried to get help at the resort and at Guest Relations in MK. I was told the same thing. They couldn't do anything to override it for me even though it was their software error that caused the problem. I even had screen shots showing that everyone had A&E FPs at one point.

I think if it had been anything other than A&E (and now 7DMT), they could and would have done something.

It's probably not the news you wanted to hear.

I've been thinking about what they could have done for us and others when their software causes problems like this. They know they have problems with the software. They really should have something in place for when it does happen.

I was thinking that maybe they could give a card based on the current wait time (like they do with DAS). It wouldn't be as good as having your original FP, but at least it would be something. I know this could open the door for abuse, but they could at least try. If people abuse it, then try something else.

I made our FPs as soon as they became available for our trip. The OP did the same. It seems Disney should have done something for us other than a disingenuous smile and apology. As it stands, I do have negative feelings about our experience.

I asked if they could somehow give me something to show that I had the Fast Pass booked and it was a system error. I was told to visit the Fast Pass Kiosk at the park. This is taking time out of my day and forcing me to explain what happened to another person, all without any guarantee that the issue will be resolved. Disney has really dropped the ball on this...all I want is what I booked, and that is not too much to ask.

It really seems to be just the A&E attraction that Disney seems to be unwilling to do any recovery for. I had an issue with the system showing an old FP+ reservation even though I'd changed it to Soarin and gotten the confirmed FP+ page on my phone app. I showed them the app that clearly showed the Soarin FP+ reservation and the supervisor handed me a paper FP to use since the band wouldn't work.

They lost 3 out of 5 of my Anna and Elsa fastpasses :( I was not very happy but I knew there wouldnt be anything they could do about it so I just adjusted our plans.

Very frustrating but I am going to make the best of the situation.

I was told as long as 1/2 FPP work of your group then you can go on.. We are a group of 9 and had a problem at Toy Story in April.. and this is what they told us however I don't know if it's really a "rule" ???

By the way I have a similar experience I am missing 2 of my 9 passes for SDMT and I am hoping we can still get on.. for some reason it did not give us all the same time.. 7 of us have the same time and 2 of us have an alternate time. I also made mine on Opening fast pass day and the ones for SDMT changed recently.

The times do not overlap... so we are going to try to all get on when the time for 7 comes up. At one time we all 9 had the same time but not any longer.... this only happened twice for next week both for SDMT... We arrive next week! :)

My advice to you is to go to the FastPass Kiosk at the park and see what they can do.....I hope everything works out for you! Have a great trip, and please post your experience....We arrive June 12th.

I wouldn't count on a kiosk CM being able to do anything for you. Although I haven't used the kiosks very often (usually just to get FPs after the third), I haven't seen them do anything special. They just seem to use the software as we would if they were not there. However, I have seen the CMs at attractions change blue mickey heads to green.

In other words, they are willing to help in all situations except the one that matters the most. :(

OP, I'm really sorry. This is an unacceptable byproduct of this new system.

Per another this, not FP+ vs FP-, limit 3 FPs etc is why I believe the executive got fired. We can debate the advantages vs disadvantages of the new system but these computer glitches at this stage in the game would be unacceptable to the highers at Disney. If I was this individual I would blow a head gasket if all my planning went for naught.

In my book, the why doesn't matter. There are plenty of ways this thing is a disappointment to me. But I think no matter how someone feels about FP+ or MM+, I think we can all agree that what happened to the OP just cannot continue to happen.

{FLAME PROOF CAPE FROM DRAWER TO SHOULDERS}
1) Folks, this is a new system, and there will be bugs.
2) Unfortunately, when FP's are gone, the capacity cannot be overridden (like with dining ADR's) *
3) Just go-with-the-flow.
4) After all, if one missed FP ruins the vacation, you might be better off at the beach.
5) Of course, then it might rain.

* ADR's can be overridden and extra people/tables scheduled, even if sold out.
The only exceptions are HDDR, BBQ, Luau, V&A, where capacity is truly limited.

If Disney's going to set up a system that requires advance planning to avoid a 4 hour wait (as in the case here with A/E) then they DARN well better be able to honor what I set up in that advance plan.

Maybe they'll be that cavalier when I lose my reminder note to make the last payment on my vacation? For some reason THAT part of their IT structure never seems to fail. I wonder why that is.

Hopefully having our 7 out of 9 for the same time will get us on. The time for the other 2 are hours from the original 7. )
