Disney Lost and Found

Has anyone had experience with Disney Lost and Found? I just filled out the online form for my boss who left an expensive piece of equipment at one of the restaurants. I tried calling but it directs to fill out the online form. He has a good idea of where he left it, but when I called the restaurant they said any items found would go directly to lost and found (even though it was just late last evening).

How long did process take, etc...

I feel like Disney is better than most places with this. Years and years ago on a high school trip, my friend lost a hacky sack in the bushes in Epcot. Sure enough, he received it in the mail a couple months later. More recently, we stayed with friends at Animal Kingdom lodge and accidentally left a couple small items in the room when we checked out (including a Coach wristlet, so not cheap!). Disney called her and arranged to send them. It wasn’t super-fast in either case, but hopefully with expensive equipment it will be expedited! Fingers crossed!
