Disney Legend Bob Gurr Is Giving a Tour

Trying to figure out how to make the second date...What to do with the kids is the challenge.

What to do with the kids??? Hire a Disneyland nanny, like me! Get me a room and I'll fly down and play with the girls at the park while you and Amy go on the tour. :D

We kicked around taking Katherine, but ended up deciding on just the two of us flying out. We are going to try to spread our girls across family and friends...

This is great! My best friend and I might be going on the 9/18 tour, since she was going to be here then anyway.

Did anyone go on the tour and want to share their experience? It sounded like a fun experience, but we're out of state.

I went yesterday... Met Bob, and Marty Sklar!!! My trip will be up shortly. I also did a Walt's location drive around town and hit the stuff which wasn't on the tour.

I have 959 photos (plus some unknown amount of cell phone photos) to sort through and post process along with an extremely detailed write-up of the tour so it may take a bit to completely finish

Can't wait to hear/see! 90% sure I'm doing the Sept 21 tour with my best friend, but just one question, did you think it was worth it?

I was worried that as we on this board know a lot of Disney history it might be repetitive information, but I'm so glad it was worth it. I want to read your trip report, but I also want to be surprised!
I'd say unless you've spent extensive time listening to Bob's stories before that you'll learn a bunch of new things. He's such a great story teller.

I agree with Matt that it's worth it, too. Hearing his own personal relationships to the sites you visit are interesting, and I agree - he is a great storyteller.

I'd like to do the tour again after reading your trip report. I'd also like to see what he's changed since the first one he did.

You can tell he's refining things as he does more and more. He's also a great storyteller, so he's probably imagineering new facts along the way too ;) While I haven't finished my TR yet by a long shot, have you noticed many deviations from when you took it?

I wish I could do it again. I've got a few questions I would have liked to ask Bob now that I'm writing my TR.

I saw that you updated, but I didn't read that update since I don't want to be spoiled. I'll read it after my tour so that I can see the differences.
